Are there really secrets to Article Marketing?

I have my heart set out in using article marketing as the means of earning my online income, in fact i am going full time with it. But i have just read a WSO that sells article marketing secrets, and i thought to myself are there really secrets to article marketing?

I have bought ebooks about it and they all boil down to a couple of things.

- find a niche that sells
- proper keyword research
- readable, interesting and unique content
- well constructed resource box
- good landing page

Thats basically it. So before i spend another 30 dollars on an ebook telling me that there are secrets only buyers of his book will ever know, are there really secrets to Article Marketing?

There are secrets to each of those components you list.

Take what your learned in that ebook and now apply them to articles submitted, try shooting to write 100 articles and test out the results from there. Once that process is over get more into detail on the major topics you pointed out from the first book

Yes there are basic rules in each of the above components that if you use properly will work very well. But are there 'super secrets' like if you put this and that you will get 60% CTR?

I believe there are probably secrets in every marketing campaign. My guess is that the "secrets" include those "hidden" tactics and strategies that only those who are super successful are aware of, but are willing to share -- for a price. I see them as the "how-to's" behind the broad words like "keyword research, landing pages, niche marketing and unique content.

Those things you mention are the foundation of good article writing, but writing is only one part of the equation. Next you need to get as much EXPOSURE to your articles as possible. And getting massive exposure is where the "secrets" are. There are always going to be new clever ways of getting maximum exposure for your articles.

Yes they are the 'How To's' of the trade or the secrets of the trade. But i have bought books about this and they are all the same, i just want to know if there are techniques in article marketing that the big players are not sharing even for a price.

Yes exposure is the next step after writing the articles, and from the books i have read they all say the same things.

- submit to article directories
- bookmark your articles
- create backlinks to your articles
- use a submitter

I even get this stuff from free ebooks.

Yes, those are the "standard" marketing/backlink building methods. There are faster ways to get exposure, however many of them fall into the grey-hat area. If this interests you, PM me and I can steer you in the right direction (no, I'm not selling anything ).
