I love content creation; blogging, creating products etc. I have got too much to say for myself I think, so the release of creating my own content is good for me!

I know a few of the bigger marketers out there have been paying others to create their content for them, but I always feel a little cheated when the content wasn't created by them. I love the idea of there being a bit of personality in the content I am buying or looking at.

    Not sure that makes sense?

But short answer, I wouldn't trust anyone else to create a product for me and I think injecting your personality into it is important.

      Doesn't matter to me.

But, if I didn't write it, my name doesn't go on it.

Dan's content is irregularly read by handfuls of people. Join the elite few by reading his blog: dcrBlogs.com, following him on Twitter: dcrTweets.com or reading his fiction: dcrWrites.com but NOT by Clicking Here!

Dan also writes content for hire, but you can't afford him anyway.

In my opinion - there's nothing better than releasing your own baby!

You will have your own unique spin on the content, and can answer questions more accurately.

Make your personality shine through and maintain it throughout your series of product releases

Gosh the writers are going to hate you guys.

I agree a certain personality goes into something when its done personally. It gets that clinical read a lot of times when its purchased.

Ah.. there is that. If your first language is not English and you want it to be written in English that makes sense. I would not be able to write something in Spanish or French and have it be readable.

Don't get me wrong, I use writers for articles and blog posters.

But I wouldn't spend the money on some one doing my product for me. Maybe if I made more money in information products in the future, I might consider outsourcing a module of the content to a writer, but I'd still be a little uncomfortable with it. I guess it's just a personal choice.

But I know what you mean Scott.

I have created content from scratch and I've had work written based on notes I've provided. Obviously having content created from my notes is faster but I find myself re-writing most of the content anyway to satisfy my writing standards and to ensure that the material is in my voice.

I am not sure how I will address this problem long term as I find it hard to find writers that have a persuasive command of word usage. Conversely, as much as I enjoy writing, I have limited time to create the content myself.

For the foreseeable future, I will continue to provide my writers with detailed notes and rewrite their work as needed.

I pay writers because at the end of the day I am a marketer not a writer. if you pay a writer you have more time for marketing.

I have a few full time writers\researchers on board and a really kick ass affiliate manager

between the two I really dont have to do much else

It just depends on what time you have and what your priorities are.

I would get the bulk of it written, then just spend a bit of time to add your "slant" and your story into it!

If you're not a writer, and can be a killer on time

      Just my thoughts,

      Paul
