I've launched my website, the product I sell is wanted because I know of competitors that are doing well.

What is the best was to get to customers?

This place is very confusing because there appear to be many routes but I'm not sure what is best for me.

I've started Facebook ads but they don't appear to be working as my cost per click is going up-apparently that's a bad sign.

I really need some help from and expert. Would love a mentor!!

I am based near Watford in England.

May have helped if you gave us the url of your website so we could take a look. Personally I don't do Facebook ads as it is difficult to understand to make sure your ad only goes to a very specific targeted audience in your niche.

This is what I would do. Create a short video and upload it to Youtube. Remember, Youtube is an excellent search engine and is owned by Google. So if you optimise your video correctly, it will also appear in the organic search results in Google. And all that for free.

Can you share more details around your niche and how you are targeting on Facebook and how many ads you've tried and any other details you can give. It's hard to give advice without the details. The more you can give us, the more we can help.

Most people want admit it but facebook ads are not for people that don't have a budget, are don't know how to target correctly for their niche. If your using Facebook ads make sure you have a facebook page for your website. You can then upload a video to that page, boost the post for a few bucks ,like $5, pick your budget and target audience. And you can get like .02 to .03 cents per few. They is so much other things you can do just keep pushing and tacking action. Buy the way you can do all this from inside the post you don't even have to use the ads editor.

hi, thanks so much for the responses and offers of help.

the product is a natural teeth whitening product using coconut oil rather than the usual peroxide.

I have run fb ads for ppl interest in teeth whitening and coconut oil, cost approx. 90p per click, no sales yet although a hand full got to the checkout. conv rate is about 0.4%, by that I mean impressions vs click thru.

tried about 3 diff ads now and the above are the best results ive got. spent approx. 300USD so far in ads

I hopefully should have a video soon.

next step for me was setting up a load of FB ads with different targets-being more specific basically rather than having one broad ad. see how they go.

then I was going to get onto google ads and set a few of those up.

Coconut as teeth whitening aid is a saturated market....you will not compete. Especially in PPC. If i saw your ads competing with mine I would out bid you....and I would be able to afford it too! Coconut oil was a massive market for a few about 5 years ago, now it is a massive money spinner for advertisers!

Your idea of seeing what is doing well for others and trying to emulate is bound to fail. Unless of course you are a manufacturer of your products? which you obviously are not.

there are only 2 big players globally in the market for this product though, so surely there is space? i have had good CTR when targeting these 2 competitors. this product only started about 1.5/2 years ago

My wife was using coconut teeth whitening products in her practice 5 years ago. It has been used in thailand and other countries for years. My wife gave up teeth whitening 3 years ago as even non toxic products cannot legally be used in the Uk any more. The dentists lobbied government until they agreed that any prodecured regarding the teeth were deemed as dentistry.

Having said all that I am sure that if you use the correct avenues you can succeed!

Its been known about in the circles that are interested for a long time.

"The idea of rinsing one's mouth with oil is thought to have originated the in the ancient Ayurvedic Indian natural medicine text Charaka Samhita, where "oil gargling" was described as a natural remedy for oral diseases. It was unknown in the western world until the 1990's, when, as the story goes, a doctor named F. Karach gave a presentation to the All-Ukrainian Association for Oncology and Bacteriology on how he used it to cure his own blood cancer. Incidentally, I found no biographical information on Dr. Karach, and I'm not convinced he's even a real person.

Regardless, it didn't break into mainstream alternative circles until a naturopath and nutritionist named Bruce Fife started evangelizing it in his 2008 book Oil Pulling Therapy: Detoxifying and Healing the Body Through Oral Cleansing. Fife's breathless descriptions of the incredible things that swishing with coconut oil could do, done as part of his role as president of the Coconut Research Center (which is apparently a thing), worked wonders.

Oil pulling took off like a granola rocket in the natural cures crowd. There are now countless websites and blogs devoted to the benefits of this ancient Indian treatment, full of before and after pictures, tips and flowery testimonials from people who say it's drastically improved their health. Oil pulling is said to treat chronic pain, insomnia, cavities, allergies, thrombosis, diabetes, asthma, bad breath, gingivitis, digestive issues, meningitis, low energy, heart disease, kidney disease, "toxic bodily waste," PMS, leukemia and even AIDS. Oil pulling, it would seem, is truly a life-changing medical miracle."

I would suggest you do some more research because I think you underestimate how much exposure this has already had as It appears you have the wrong idea.

I have been in the health sector as a manufacturer and retailer for many years and these sort of products do tend to get 2 main suppliers (which are often the same!!!) as they squeeze the rest out.

I wish you the best though and I am only giving you some insight, i'm not trying to be negative.

who are the two main suppliers I might be able to give you some further insight?

There is alot more involved in copying a product or idea because others are doing well (if you know that for sure, and in what capacity).

Have you identified your target market? Who are your customers? How will it help them? Are you targeting your market or just a general audience?

THIS should have been the first step! Identify your target audience, then figure out how to best reach them!
How do you know the are on facebook?

No offence intended, but before you think about any pad ads you should get your marketing strategy in place

    1. To start, you should stick to selling products or services that you're familiar with. Online marketers call this process "picking your niche.

    2. You'll do a much better job with your individual marketing efforts if you stick to selling what you know.

    3. Be sure to add content to your website that isn't "salesy." You want your site to come across as an authority in your niche.

    4. Research affliate programs. Find an affiliate program that offers products or services in your niche

    5. Automate what you can. There are plenty of digital marketing tools available

One great way to get paid a commission without appearing to sell anything is add affiliate links within your content. That way, when people click on the link, they're taken to the company site and, if they buy, you'll earn a commission

Article marketing is a form of marketing in which articles are strategically placed on the Internet for the purpose of promoting a specific website.
The concept is to generate interest in your website, establish credibility as an expert in your niche and create back-links to your website that will improve your site's search engine ranking. The advantage of article marketing is that it is relatively simple to do and does not cost any money.

Hey there londonbmw! To get affiliates i would directly contact some bloggers in that niche (beauty health products) and give them a wealthy commission in order to promote your products. Send them an email introducing yourself and your product and its benefits. You could also start by registering on some of the big platforms as well.

Its health related so why dont you just google for health and teeth and coconut based health topics, then see the top sites in those niche , then send them an email offering them to promote your product on a commission basis.

    Maybe someone will be interested

if you just get one big site or blog to promote then you could have lots of sales

    Hi londonbmw,

Congratulations on you new business, and for working so hard to get it launched.

    Now for the tough love...

    Sorry, but your website sucks...

Sorry, someone had to say it...

It lacks clarity, no clear eye path, assaults you audience with motion sickness inducing sliders, flashing, blinking, spammy popups and promotional toolbars that hit your poor readers before they even have a chance to learn what your website is about.

It took at least 45 seconds to figure out what type of product your seemed to be trying to sell, I literally found myself going to Google to look it up because your website was making it just too hard to understand what your product did.

I ended up at Cocowhite's website which did a better job of explaining what the product was and how it worked. I then went back to your website, and it was only after learning about the product from other places that I could finally grasp what it was that your website seemed to by trying to sell. Not the best first impression.

Sure, if I was persistent enough I could have managed to study your website and piece together enough clues to finally understand what you were trying to sell, however the point that I'm trying to make is that is was much easier for me to got to other websites to learn what your product was than to simply scan your website and immediately understand what you were offering.

A quick search in google showed that if you searched for "coconut oil pulling" that you get no ads, just organic listings that go to informational web page links. Meaning... it is an informational search term with low commercial intent. However, if you include the term "teeth whitener" you have very high commercial intent. This tells me that you messaging is wrong for selling products.

Yes, I did spot the teeth whitening messages that were "hidden" in your content but only after ai had a better understanding of what you were selling. You made me work much too hard to figure it out. Most of your first time visitors will likely bounce long before they figure out what you are selling. The only thing obvious ia that you are trying to sell something, it's just not instantly clear what that is.

Now that we have the ugly stuff out of the way, let me try to help you by telling you exactly what you need to do to make your marketing work for you instead of against you.

Here's the good news, you don't have to scrap your current website (though that is a viable option) you just need to clean it up a bit. Get rid of the distractions and focus on delivering a clear concise message that your target audience will find compelling.

It's simple, pick a compelling value proposition and make it prominent. You make it simple for your audience by removing distractions, and anything else that does not reinforce the central value proposition, or the primary business objective.

Something along the lines of this:

There a million ways to market your business, and Facebook ads are good enough if you can optimize and test it.

In my opinion, there's no need to investigate other alternatives at this point.

This is just my personal view, so take it for what it's worth, but I believe this could be a symptom of upside down thinking.

If you had the best offer on the market, you would need to do very little paid marketing once you get the ball rolling. Is your product the best, or at least superior in some way to what's on the market? Or is it similar what someone else is offering? The most important thing is having the best deal, and having something that people really want to buy!
