The one YOU can make work the best.

If you're looking for options, in general, you need to provide a bit more info.

I know a guy who doing it through networking and publishing a monthly newsletter that he sends to a bunch of businesses and themed flyers that he sends to (mostly residential addresses), he gets businesses for it from his newsletter and cold calling and networking and "seminars" on how EDDM (every mail direct) works and how to choose the right paper of your advertising needs (where he goes into mind-numbing details about matte and bleed, and all the stuff you're never interested in until you want to run a mail campaign).

I'm sending out a monthly postcard promoting a handful of local businesses. Sending it out via Eddm and just want to know how I could get business owners interested besides cold calling which I already do. If like to get some of them inquiring about my service.

    Here are some ideas:

    1) Classified advertising in newspaper

    2) Display advertising in newspaper or trade magazines

    3) Direct mail and postcards

    4) Google Places

    5) A website

    6) Email marketing (the most important way)

So, how many cards have you completed since the last time you asked about this?

How many on the first one will repeat?
        Why or why not?

Assuming you listened to the interview Bob Ross offered you about the guy who does all his over the phone, what are you doing different?

You want to do one a month, how many businesses have you called and how many have you closed on? How many were actually on the first card and what did you get per ad?

There is persistence involved or perhaps, you chose the wrong Biz-Op?

I suggest you follow the advice of those who have done it, and plenty of those in the 9x12 groups and Facebook groups. My best guess is, it is you.

And perhaps you are not cut out for selling? Just asking?

Not a very easy market to get into as I am sure you already know.

I would find local business networking events, and get talking.. Offer Value, get clients to like you on personal level and then hit them with a sale pitch.

Well, what kind of success have you had.

If I got a mail that said,

I got x new leads that became x sales for a business like yours for less than sending out x postcards, I'd be interested. If, instead of a business like yours you named my vertical, I'd be even more interested.

So, if you take that, create a download... Learn how xyz business got 187% more sales for the same money... kind of thing... I'd download, and you'd be able to email me The Perils of Lead Generation sequence, with pitches. And if you built trust, I might talk to you.

You know, I have been hearing through the ether that advertising your online offers through offline advertising such as newspapers is making a comeback. I'm sure there is a ton of money to be made if you can figure out how to do this and scale it properly. Offline advertising throughout North America is pretty much an untouched demographic these days in terms of online/offline crossover potential goes.
