What would you do to improve PR?

Hi everyone. I wanted to pick everyone's brain on what they would do to improve their google PR.

I took over an article directory back in March. At that time it had a PR of 3.

Fast forward to today, my traffic has been growing nicely,

But....

During the last google recalculation my PR was bumped to a PR2. Can anyone offer up what they would work at to get my PR3 back and then some?

    I would work on increasing quality backlinks to your site. You want to focus on site that are relevant to yours that have a high PR of 6 or higher and then contact them to see if they are willing to link to your site.

    The more backlnks you have pointing back to your site from high PR site the better your PR will become. Also you may need to use some SEO techniques for your site so certain keywords and keyword phrases get ranked high with the search engines.
