Flippa Sites

Hey anyone ever bought a flippa site? What happened with that?

What type of site was it?

    I've only sold websites using Flippa. Never bought any, but I can vouch that it's a safe/reputable way to buy and sell websites.

    If you're preparing to buy a site, you need to get as much information about the site as possible. What CMS it uses, the traffic stats, how they monetize, the ad revenue, etc. Be very thorough and don't buy sites from people who won't provide the most basic of information.

    Do your research. Check the inbound links to the site, see how it ranks in the search engines, and all that good stuff. Make sure that you really want to buy the site and are fully capable of running it.

    Also be sure to ask the reason as to why they're selling it. Additionally, you could ask if the current owner will help you for a little bit after the transition to help things run smooth. I had no problem doing that with buyers.

    I don't think they're around anymore. This was 8 or 9 years ago when I used to build sites, get them profitable, flip, and move on to the next one. I've moved on into web development and affiliate marketing related things now. Any site I get profitable these days, I keep for myself lol.

    I remember one site I sold, the guy ran it into the ground. The site was making a few hundred per month when I sold it, but the guy was too lazy to update/maintain it. It was an entertainment site, so it required constant updating but he never did it. Userbase fell off and site died. It's no longer online. That's why I said in my previous post, make sure you are capable of running any site you buy. They require a lot of continual work in most cases.

    I don't know anyone who made something good out of it but I don't know everyone out there. I recommend you to start your own website more than buying on Flippa.

    I have bought and sold several sites on flippa.

    The purchases I have made overall have done very well. One site for 24K ended up making me around 150K before it died. Another was for 15K which did 1K a month for 3 years till it got a penalty that knocked that site out of the serps.

    My largest purchase for 85K I over paid for but the site still generates me 800-1200 a month and has for 3 years now with no end in site so really not a bad deal when you think about it's long term potential.

    As with all investments you need to do your homework and ensure it fits within your wheel house.

    I have not bought a site from flippa in the last 2 years but I go on there every 6 months or so and check things out. I regularly find 1 or 2 listings that I think are good value.

    I have had experience with Flippa. Thanks to the smooth operation of Flippa that now I own simpleflashgames.com for just 50 bucks.

    I recommend Flippa to everybody who want to buy or sell website online. It is highly safe and secured.

    Yea, I bought a few Adsense websites. Earned pretty well with them. I still have one of them now, but lost interest in updating it as my Adsense account has been banned. I've sinced moved on to focus more on ecommerce, and affiliate marketing.

      Yea i can see its not hard to get Adsense banned did they give you a reason?
