The night before my guest post goes live on an authority blog. What to do?

Hi warriors, one of my guest post is scheduled on an authority blog and I need your suggestions on how I can take maximum out of this.

Should I Provide a squeeze page link inside my Author's bio? (where I let them opt-in in return for an ebook?)

Should I take them on my usual home or 'about us' page?

I have also seen some bloggers designing a special Welcome page for visitors visiting from the host's site. Do you recommend this?

Would love to know your opinion!

    Personally I would recommend creating a specific welcome/landing page for visitors.

    You could make a direct referral to where they have initially come from in your headline. This narrows your audience and singles them out, that way you can grab their attention and then do what you may with the rest of your page!

    Collect emails/sell your product/services, you know the drill.

    I think a squeeze page is a great idea, and I would also create a bit of a marketing campaign for your emails once you do capture your new contacts so that you can have a series of steps in your sign up process - all based on what you want the outcome to be. I look forward to hearing how it all goes.

      Hi, thanks for your suggestion. Yeah, I think a squeeze page with a "skip this shit and take me to your blog" at the bottom of the page will be a good option?
      P.S as I don't have a priced product ready(I am working on it), so my email sequence is the usual free stuff that goes nowhere. I know it's bad, sigh. I am working on it.

    To maximize your guest post's value, I suggest you link to an AUTHOR PAGE that specifically states WHY people should CARE about what you have to say.

    From there, link to other pages that step the prospect through the KLT sales process.

    That's how you convert visitors into list members, ad clickers, or buyers.

      Hi, I think that's a good suggestion. A link to Author page that describes WHO AM I and WHAT MAKE ME DIFFERENT can be a great trust building tactic.

      Maybe, I can also grab some warm leads through a pop-up that appears in the middle of the page.

    yea, i really like the author page idea too,,

    i usually just link back to my site and let sumome do it's magic

    ...but I imagine the smarter play would be to send it to my author page with an optin box.
