Instagram marketers who have built a solid brand by carefully vetting the products they endorse don't have anything to worry about.

On the other hand, those "I'll endorse anything" IG insta-stars should start thinking of backup income plans. Quickly.

I don't understand how you can say that. The FTC's issue has nothing to do with vetting or with whether or not the product deserves praise. It has to do with whether or not any payments are disclosed.

You can do all the vetting in the world, but if you don't disclose having been paid to endorse a product, or getting an affiliate commission from sales through your link, the FTC has you in its sights.

They already have...being Porto-potties for rich sheiks and their friends. If you think I'm kidding...I'm not. It's disgusting.

People are sheep and believe anything if it comes from a perceived authority. If Trump told you that he was friends with D.G. and that this guy would give you the secret to making automatic income in real estate...you'd probably believe it. Even though it's complete BS.

That's the issue with endorsements. People are stupid and will believe anything. It's very dangerous and I'm glad that Big Brother is looking out for the little people.

I'd rather tell you an ugly truth than a pretty lie.
