Upwork & Freelancer alternative for agencies

hello warriors,

I own an SEO agency overseas that I just launched, and I am trying to start picking clients, I tried warrior for hire ( the warrior forum ) but didn't have much luck. I also tried to use upwork to launch my agency, and invested it a lot of time and event though I am offering the minimum rate for experts VAs on Upwork, I didn't have much luck ( Upwork is really terrible for new companies because they don't even show my proposal when I apply to a client, they only show the agencies and freelancers that have a long experience with the site, my proposal (even though they are paid, they wouldn't reach to client since they are not listed under proposal, instead hidden until an icon called show more, which most people will miss, and no email notification sent to client, I know because I used to hire people on that site)

I tried freelancer which doesn't seem ideal for agencies, and peopleperhour ( they don't have agency account, only freelancers ).

Anyone familiar with freelancer website that has agency accounts out there that I may have missed, i googled Guru which another site I am familiar with the name only, but freelancers and agencies complaint that they wouldn't pay.

Would highly appreciate any leads

Thank you in advance

You are wrong, your proposal is always seen. Most people bid real money to be in a higher position leading to having more chances to be hired.

With my experience, I can say that no matter how much money they spend, if you send a killer and professional proposal, you can beat everyone else. You should work better at writing your proposal, explain why they need to hire you instead of anyone else, what you can do for them? How will you do it? How long will it take? Explain everything, talk a little about yourself or your company, show real experience.

You should try Envato I think is the best option for you. Envato is the owner of few websites like Themeforest for example, where you as a freelancer or agency can sell templates (PSD files) or even full websites (WordPress or any other platform).

People are doing millions of dollars and if you don't believe it, just find top sellers and you will see.

What's most popular these days isn't about how much websites you sell, is about how often you make an update.

One of my favorite designers which works alone (a one guy company) did his first million dollar selling templates, with less than 20. But all these templates have regular updates to the new trends over and over.

      hi Nico,

my agency is currently offer SEO service only therefore Envato is not really an option because they are for product selling niche.

As far as upwork, I don't believe it is the case, I have been hiring people for various tasks over there for years the most recent post i put up for affiliate marketing manager was for few days, none of the proposals showed up under proposals, new proposals (for new people to the site) falls under more. Upwork didn't send me any notifications either. That is not the case with proposal of users who have few hundreds hours of work on the site.
