A little advice please - I am stuck :-(

Good day Warriors

I am a little stuck at the moment.

I am obsessed with Perez Hilton and Shoemoney.com, these people who are celebrity bloggers and so powerful.

These bloggers are like role models to me and now I want to start a blog and hopefully join their ranks one day.

So what do you Warriors think of this? My idea is to start a blog and then blog like mad every day with valuable content and hopefully it works.

Please help me by adding your tips or ideas on this.

    Do it, as long as you do it everyday and find a unique voice or opinion on matters you should do well.

    Thats a pretty broad strategy. You can write all you want, but if no one is reading it, then what's the point of writing?

    It's called Internet "marketing" for a reason. You need to drive traffic and create hype and exposure for it if you ever want to join their ranks.

    You can start off by posting comments to posts in blogs within your niche to drive traffic. Also blog carnivals work pretty well for exposure.

    Yes, now we getting this going.

    Now the question is what topic?

    I think Internet Marketing is the way to go right?

    I can promote affiliate programmes and hosting, does this sound correct?

      The thing with Internet marketing is that there are thousands and thousands of blogs already doing what you are saying... you'll be lost in the crowd. Pick something very specific so you don't have as many competing blogs.

      Look at all the successful blogs... they were successful because they were some of the first in the market.

    IF you are really passionate about blogging, make it your long term goal....meanwhile keep on working on other onilne endures,...Dont solely rely on Blogging initially.

    I personally think there are lot better options than blogging through which you can earn handsome money....,(if you really want to purue it in long run then first get good in something,that you are really passionate about and that interests others )......Second these gurus like Shoemoney and John Chow are not simply bloggers they are running many other campaings in background and earning thousands even millions through them.

    Idea: What if you can develop a site that Give you 1 Thousand each month? It's not uncommon.

    And what if you can develop such 30,50, even 100 sites? Marketers are doing it.

    And i am also planning to do it in long run

      Good idea,

      That is true.

      If I start this blog and see that it is limited, then I will contine to run it, but then also start more.

    Getting to celebrity status in blogging is not easy IMO. You really need to have a unique view, entertaining writing style and make people laugh. It's a long ride and not everyone can do this.. you basically need to have a talent for writing if you're going to be making it big in blogging by pure content. But I wish you all the best =)

    Just another thought that I would like to add:

    If I do start it and then feel that after putting a lot of effort and see that it is not growing then I will try more promotion.

    If that fails then it will be important for me to identify the right time to stop and move on, but I am sure I will be able to identify it.
