Thread Closed Since 2010... Does this still work?

I just happened to run across a thread that has been closed since 2010.

It had a lot of traffic before it closed and seems like quite a cool idea.

I'm wondering if this would still work in this day/age post Penguin & Panda?

    Well, it was so much easier to make money passively back then.

    Several of my adsense sites were clocking $50 per day

    Then PANDA hit.

    Followed by PENGUIN.

    You can still make good money today but it won't be as passive as before.

    Yes, $150 or more from just one site is possible with FB traffic.

      Yup. It was much easier back in the day. Write a decent article and put it up on a blog or website and you could rank pretty well without a lot of effort. Back then, it was also easy to make money with article type sites like Associated Content. Things have changed.
