Hello Warriors, I'm trying to do some research on different ways to know if your market is hungry or passionate, how do you know that the market you are in fills these requirements? Any tips or advice would be great! Thankyou! |

One of the simplest ways is to go to the Google Keyword Tool and type in key words or phrases that relate your niche. If they have a high number of searches then they are probably a popular aka passionate niche. After you have found some of the most searched terms, go to Google and type the keywords in and see if others are buying Adwords ads for those keywords. If the page is full of ads then it is probably a hungry market and others are probably making money in the niche. |

| I would say use the law of supply and demand. Usually, a product of high demand but very low supply would result to a hungry market. When they are hungry, they are willing to pay even a high amount for your product.

Great answer! That's an important distinction (that is not obvious) that new marketers should understand. Another gold nugget from this forum. | |

| Just to add another angle to the discussion -- don't forget the desperate market. Personally between hungry, passionate and desperate, I like to go after the desperate as they're, well, more desperate!

If you arte flooded with enquiries but orders are low, the market you targets is just passionate. If you are getting too more orders but less enquiries, the market is hungry.

Yes Kevin desperate is defiantly the way to go look for a niche where people are in some sort of pain be it physical or mental and you have a money market

Desperate and passionate are both viable. Just remember that the folks in the "desperate" category are more likely to be a one off transaction. Passionate people may buy several pretty similiar items on the topic that trips their trigger. I'm not saying either one is more right or wrong. Just keep that in mind when developing your business strategy. Anyway, back to the question... See if there is an established print magazine for your market. Also, see how many print books there are in your local book store or on Amazon. |
