Include a blog with your e-commerce site?

Hello,

I know a lot of people do it, but I am unsure if it is the right method.

Do you have an e-commerce site? And if so, do you have a blog attached to the domain so you can get a lot of content in? Or do you just focus on getting your information/articles onto larger article sites such as ezinearticles?

I am curious to hear your thoughts on this.

    I added a personal blog to my site this morning. In my particular site, i'm trying to educate people, so I don't feel it's appropriate for me to dish on about my problems. So, I set up a blog for that and linked it to my commercial site.

    I get traffic through my blog but seldom find time to update it.
    I do have some good placements from it though.
    So I would say you have nothing to lose by having one for your e-commerce site. Gives you a place to discuss your products.

    Why Not?

    Blog & ping often and then funnel folks to your money pages.

    Blogs are used by many marketers to generate lots of visitors.

    Don't ignore another source of free traffic.

    Find some related plr articles and use them if you must.

      We added a blog to our site a couple months ago and from Google Analytics we see that we get more traffic from our blog than anything else. We've written a couple posts but that's about it. More and more companies are using blogs to get out from behind the Corporate Wall and communicating with their customers and people like that.

      I'd say why don't you have a blog?
