You newbies need to learn how to use the SEARCH function here. Sorry, but it had to be said... well, written.

OK, go to YouTube and search for Wordpress tutorial. You'll get a bunch of returns. Watch the videos and you'll be on the WP bandwagon.

WP is a blog platform -- a content management system, if you will. It allows you to add content to your site (blog) without having to manually update web pages (HTML pages) and FTP 'em to your site. All you do is log into your WP dashboard, compose a message, click "publish" -- and it appears on your site.

If you are hosting your own websites and use CPanel to manage all of your hosting accounts - or clients, there is a Application called Fantastico that you click on and it will automatically install the latest version of Word Press. What that option you dont have to worry about installing in on a server and setting up the databases. I've done it about 10 times. Its simple.

Cheers everyone! n yes I do know how to search it's just tht my iPhone is tempermental n sometimes doesn't let me so I thought it would b quicker to start a new thread + it's another post for me!

I was (a long time ago) just as newbie as you seem to be, atleast with wordpress. Thing is, a wordpress based site isn't that hard to do, but you'll have to look around for a bit.
The best way to learn about it is to get some video tutorials; there are a bunch outthere, these will practically take you by the hand and walk you through the whole process.
At first glance I found this one imvideocenter.com, looked around and they're pretty good. So try it out.
