Way to create an Amazon Desktop Icon with my Affiliate ID?

Hopefully this will make sense. Is there a way to create an amazon link, so no matter what the user purchases, I receive credit/commission? Or is it by specific product only?

Better yet, is there a way to create an amazon desktop icon with my affiliate id assigned to it?

Thanks

Amazon Affiliate means once the user clicks your link of one product and buys any other product ,still you will get your commission based on purchased product. A Bookmarklet can be the easy option to instantly add your affiliate id.

If you spend time at amazon reading their TOS and tutorials for associates as well as participating in the Amazon Associates forum, which you can access from your dashboard, this and many other simple questions will be answered

Had you taken the time and minimal effort to check out the program, you'd already know that you get credit for anything a person buys for as long as your cookie is active. That would be 24 hours or until it gets written over by another affiliate (doesn't happen often).

Had you read the TOS, you'd know already that this is not allowed. Amazon wants to be able to trace the source of associate clicks, which is why links in emails are not allowed.

Besides, why would someone use your desktop icon when it's so easy to just type "Amazon.com" in an address bar?

That's good to know. You're right, why not click a book mark or type in amazon?

I purchased a PC and it had a desktop icon for eBay and Amazon. That was the reason for my question.

I also know a lot of elders (my parents included) that prefer a desktop icon over a bookmark or typing, mainly due to poor eye sight.

Thank you for answering my questions.

If i understand you well, you want to earn commission for anything people buy on Amazon when they visit your site? If that's what you mean then YES!

Your site may be promoting PS4 games and your visitors may not want to buy what actually brought them to the site and opt for a completely different stuffs like smart phone and you will still get paid so long as it's within 24hrs.

    Hey Krumpy,

It's part of your affiliate link, every time someone buys anything from your aff link, you get a piece.

But it makes sense to have traffic looking for more expensive items so that u can get more money..

have your site focus on high ticket items..

    best of luck,

You earn commission on EVERYTHING the person buys from your affiliate link.

So if they click on your link about drones, but end up buying a television, you still get commission on that.

The only downside is that Amazon commissions are relatively low (6% to 10%). You have to really sell a ton of products to make decent income.
