Where to sell my domains?

Well firstly i'm no expert in domain selling however here's my take which I hope helps...

So the domains that sell are going to be those that get traffic. Therefore I would assume that if you have some sort of sales page letting the user who visits your domain know that it's for sale.

I would also recommend writing on some forums that relate to the niche you have the domain name in.

for example I may have a domain name called paleodiet.com. I would target Facebook groups, Forums letting peeps know I have the domain name paleodiet.com and that it's for sale. I'm sure it would get snapped up ASAP!!!

Tried this for several months with Twitter for some of my domain names I wanted to sell (including a PR4 domain) but it was a bust.

Here's a marketplace directory from Domaining.com. In addition to these and the ones mentioned about I would add Bido, Igloo and Above.

A lot of folks forget about Ebay, but they do a thriving business with domain names. The forums - DNForum and Namepros are also places where deals are done.

Try this:

If you have a keyword rich domain name, I would do a Google search on the keyword(s) and then see which sites are returned on the first couple of pages (SERPs). Contact the owners of these sites and ask them about their interest in your domain highlighting the fact that their site is already ranked in the top results for that particular keyword.

This strategy might not work as well for a non-keyword domain (although it still could). The idea is to point out to the potential buyer that he/she is already ranking for a search on the domain.

You can sell your domain using any marketplace such as flippa.com and sedo.com. You can also try to use godaddy auction. You can also try some facebook groups. Just list them and you are good to go :-)

I imagine its easier to sell a quaint little house then a patch of dirt simply because most ppl arent visionaries.

i'd build up those domains into quaint little sites ,if they are keyword friendly, with traffic and adsense...

it would be easier to sell them then...

I think you should go for the sites like godaddy.com or flippa.com. they are one of the very good domain auction sites. you will really get the good prices for your domain there specially flippa, they have the most quality clients as I know.

I have several thoughts regarding that:
1. Do you know what is the price you want to sell your domain names at? If no you might need some appraisal services
2. Your domain name cost as much as real buyer ready to pay for that.
Some place I recommend: Sedo, NamePros, DomainState.

GoDaddy is a good site to auction your website domain names... However, if you believe your domain names are great, you can directly reach to website owners with a lower rank on search results and present your domain name/s. Maybe it's one of the best methods they can implement.
