How to check if reputation management was done?

Got a call from a person that claims he hired a reputation management company to do ORM on his name. Not business, but his name.
He is unhappy with the results. But still in contract for the next 2 months.
How can I check and see if there was any work done for him?
Ideas?

why not tell this person to contact this reputation management company and get a detailed description of everything they have done and then verify it.

When this person Googles his/her name, he/she should see a bunch of results that say good things about him/her at the top of Google.

    Reputation management works like this:
you create positive pages and rank them high so that the negative info pages are moved to page 4 or 8 or whatever it was agreed upon.

Some reputation management companies seem to think all they have to do is create positive info pages.

So, what did your person agree to? Because, if they only agreed that x number of positive pages will be created, and they have been, it's not relevant that the negative pages are still at the top of Google.

I don't know the details of their agreement. But if I google his name the negative is still on the top.
Keep in mind that this person, actually is somewhat famous. He comes from the sports world. So there are many articles about him. But those are not coming from the ORM. They are all organic.
What I am trying to find out, whether real work was done for him? or not?
He claims that nothing has changed in months.
Is there a way to actually find out?

Yes. Ask the company for a list of all they've done. Then verify it was done.

The ones coming from ORM will be in the organic side too. They will just be new (and the ORM can give you the links to the ones they created) and better SEO'd than the others, so they'd be ahead in Google (or moving up in Google).

Unfortunately I cannot ask. He came to me with that question. Asking them that after months of work without showing any report only going to cause a defensive mode from them.
I was hoping I can maybe run a software to see all the links with his name on it and try to analyze them.

Why not just Google his name in quotation marks and set the date to the day that company was supposed to start. It will greatly reduce the number of results and all would be pages create on or after the day you choose.

Then you look at them, decide whether they could have been created by the company he hired.

"first name last name", hit enter.

Click on search tools, then choose the time frame you want.

Search tools is at the top of the page of results of any search, on the left, right under
