Business Email Address

Are you going to be registering a domain name also? Or are you just looking for a free provider like gmail.com?

I have a domain at godaddy and it costs 7$ to register a business email. I found that there are other email providers such as rackspace and zoho were Business emails are cheaper. So it that possible to use one of those services, despite the fact that my domain is registered at godaddy?

If you have hosting and a domain which you should then why not just set up something with your domain like contact@yourdomain.com

Log into your Cpanel or alternative, and look at the email section.. you don't need Rackspace or Zoho or any other company.

Email should already come with whatever hosting account you have.

Not to be rude, but this is the sort of question that could have been answered with an hour or two of internet research. Instead, you've waited a full day for assorted answers from a bunch of random strangers on a forum for internet marketing experts, not email experts.

To be clear, I'm not knocking the posters above or the answers they gave. But there's no telling if their requirements for an email provider are the same as yours, so even if their advice is good advice for someone, it's not necessarily good advice for you.

Most of all though, I think you need to step up and do some work and research for yourself. If every time you need to purchase a product or service for your business you have to post to a forum you'll never get around to doing the actual work that's going to make you money. Moreover, compared to everything else that's necessary to run a business, choosing an email provider is easy -- and frankly not very important. Your customers aren't going to care a whit whether an email was sent from Zoho, your hosting provider, Google Apps or the Raspberry Pi you set up in your basement.

There's too much to do and not enough time to do it already; spend your time in a way that's going to actually make you some money.

You can get a business email address with your domain provider.

Since you don't seem to grasp the answer we're all giving you - that you don't need to pay Godaddy to "register" a business email - why not ask Godaddy and/or Rackspace and/or Zoho and/or whoever else you want to waste your money with?

I'm guessing you went for one of those cheap domain specials Godaddy likes to run. Now you know why they offer those cheap domains - they can then hit you up for bogus add-ons like "business email registration".

Besides, if $7 a year is that big a deal, you have bigger problems than who provides your email address.

You have a domain name which means you should have a web host to host your website so you don't really need to pay another company to register for a business email or use Godaddy if you don't want to.

You can easily set up as many email as you want with your web host cpanel. If you don't how go to youtube and you'll find lots of video tutorials on how to set up an email address from your web host cpanel.

You can opt for Google Apps. They are providing business email services with 50 GB storage. Google is a big and renowned brand and you can surely trust them. Pricing is also very affordable.

or if you take new product they give email for free and then you link to Gmail.

Is Godaddy just your domain name registrar or your hosting provider as well. From what you said, it looks like they are your registrar. Check the image below as they allow you to create email addresses if you have hosting with them.

Now what you need to do is sign up with a hosting provider ( if you haven't) , set up your name servers, and then log into your hosting account's cpanel and create a email address for your domain.

Just ask godaddy customer support how to create an email address in your cpanel interface. No need to buy anything
