I want to share my experience creating a video tutorial of my ability in skillshare. At this moment skillshare is throwing money to everyone who can make a first class published in their platform, following the simple rule they put as monthly teaching challenge.

It took me less than a month to create my first class. I picked design category as I want more bonuses. Skillshare is giving $100 for every new teacher with first class. And giving more $100 (total of $200) if the class is in the category mentioned in the monthly teaching challenge.

So, my first month result was: I got the $200 bonus, and got the teaching share for about $35 from about 35 premium students who enrolled into my class. I got about 150 students, but only 35 were premium students and gave me the teaching royalty pool.

Right now, they still run the monthly teaching challenge with this $100 or $200 cash prize (sent to your paypal in the next month).

So, if you never make money before and want to feel it next month, I would suggest you go to skillshare and create your first class teaching what ever you can. It's a guaranteed $100 you can have!

  There's NO minimum withdraw. You get paid the next month on 16 for every Premium Student who enrolled, new referrals, or (sometime) when you bring more teachers with teaching invitation they give you.
  
  And $100 or $200 bonus is just a ONE TIME cash prize for every new teacher who publishes the first class within their monthly teaching challenge (workshop/program). You must follow it. It's easy though.
  
  The only note is: I don't know how long they will give cash bonuses?
  I just know they still give it this September.

  A simple re-make of any cooking, crafting & designing tutorials we can found on Youtube will be enough to start a first class. Just make a short 15 minutes presentation video using Powerpoint is fine.

They did recently change the rules for the guaranteed $100 bonus so I thought I would add it to this thread.

To be able to get $100 guaranteed on Skillshare you will have to:
1. Be a new member
2. Join Skillshares class "Teaching a Great Skillshare Class"
3. Follow their guidelines
4. Get one paid referral
5. Publish a class

That's true. My friend made $1,000+ in the first month with just 2 classes about Instagram Traffic. Just be creative and come out with the most wanted topic... and a fortune can be made.

  Well, you surely don't know how cool is skillshare for newbies. If they can play an online game, they can even teach their tactics to win the game. If they can cook Indian or Chinese Food, they can make a class just by recording the cooking activity into a simple video. Newbies don't necessary mean people who know nothing. Open your mind!   NO. You don't have to.
  It's just to give impression that you are a serious/professional teacher when you get that golden star after your name. And other premium teacher would love to exchange with you if you are premium.
  Premium simply means money being given among those premium teacher.

  It is easy money at this moment. Skillshare are throwing money to get new fresh teachers as much as possible. They have 1.5+ millions students to serve with new classes. And right now they just have less than 6K classes. So, the opportunity is wide open for anyone. Good luck!

Except it's not really as simple as that is it?
You need to complete a series of tasks - milestones, enrol for other classes etc and meet the Skillshare guidelines before you qualify for the payment. Not all will qualify for the payment, no matter how good their course is.

And skillshare really gives the payment, no matter how simple their class is. Why do you think it's hard? It's not. It's easier than you think.

The target for newbies should be to get the teacher bonus from the site. Then they can use it to invest in anything they want. For example: $100 can buy 10-15 WSOs.

  No, Skillshare is not new. However, they have focused on teaching in real life. It was a platform where you could advertise your courses and students then came to a specific place where the teacher was teaching whatever.
  
  They did recently start up on the internet as an online course platform (just like Udemy). Many teachers I have talked to that were teaching on Udemy has moved over to Skillshare just because it is easier to earn money from there because of Skillshares business model.
  
  For us customers, Skillshare is also better since we pay a monthly fee of $9,95 (if you are a premium member that is) and we get access to every single course on Skillshare (which is currently around 8K+). On Udemy, that would cost a fortune.

Man, if you can record yourself using any smartphone (with min. HD size), you can just go and teach anything there. Just join as a new member and be a new teacher, join the monthly challenge, ask your brother/sister to join under you....... and grab your $100. It's easy!

Sorry, Brent. I was talking about the new teacher bonus.
And chippen2188 bellow said more bonuses everyone can possibly have from the platform. If we can bring someone under us as a new teacher (using special invitation), skillshare will give another $50. And recently skillshare also offer another $100 for our first 10 referral we can get in a month.

The point is: Skillshare is throwing money right now to promote their platform.
So grab it while it's still available.
I want to share this to all newbies... so they can have at least $100 (up to $250) for their first month joining this website. Then they can use that money for other IM journey, like buying real WSO (if any

) or get a real coach for them.

I tried it last month and I did not get the payment.
If your course is not trending on the first page you won't get any payment other than say $3 if someone pays to sign up. I have near to 150 free students on my course right now.
In my view Udemy is a better site to learn from at least as the videos tend to be longer than 2 minutes.

I don't know your story, but you probably did it out of their guideline. Some friends also got the same problem as you had, but after contacting them personally and showing some proofs that they did follow all tasks in the monthly challenge, then skillshare released/sent them the bonus.

  You can make a simple VSL style video using powerpoint to explain anything you can. For example: you can teach about how to play a specific game in facebook without ever paying. You can get such info from youtube or google it around. Then you remake it into a powerpoint video using your story. That's it. Join as new member and join their monthly teaching challenge, follow their milestones and grab your $100 bonus, while it's still available. Good luck!

  You can use TTS (txt-to-speech) software. It would be better if you have a voice over. But of course you can just create a video with music background only, and teach your student using text - as long as you know how to write and structure it in your video presentation. Some people do that way in skillshare, and as far as I see, it's okay until now. Just create something useful that makes people interested to learn. Good luck!
