What's the best and easiest way to sell language learning course?

Hi there,

A while ago I created an audio listening course in MP3, for learning a specific language.
Do you have any recommendations on how to sell this the easiest and best way?
I was thinking about simply setting up a wordpress site with a paypal buy button, but would then also need to drive traffic to this site?

I have a full time job, so am looking to find the best way, with the minimal number of time required.

I was also thinking about if I should create an app instead and simply list it in the AppStore, but this would require hiring a programmer.
Finally I was also thinking about simply adding some slides to the audio and record that as a video and put it on Udemy, but am afraid of loosing control here.

As you can see, a lot of thoughts here.

Any inspiration or ideas would be great.

Thanks.

Best regards,
Thomas

    Hi,

First get Copy righted Rights for your Materials.

    1. Create one simple 1 page or 5 page website you can buy Godaddy Website Builder, i have used for my site.

    2. Build Sales Data base, you can buy Job portal sites Data base so that 100% Profile CV's you download and emails to them to buy your products.

    Thank you,

    Set up a WordPress site.
I would do a blog section around it.
Search engines love content, take your time with it.
Also use Facebook to create a fanpage then use some paid traffic via Facebook to drive people to your site.
Give people free pieces of the course to entice them to buy.
For example, give them a small part of the course for signing up with you.

Hopefully this will give you some ideas. But if you take your time with it and stick it out, you will succeed at it.

  • First copyright then I think Udemy will be your first choice. People go there to learn something, they must be looking for the language that you are teaching too.

So there is a targeted traffic where in the case of own website there is none.

You will also learn what your target customers want from the course. you will also learn from other course providers. See what they do, how they write content, what type of images etc.

Skillshare is easier than Udemy. You can even get $100 just for being a new teacher with your first class in skillshare.

I didn't do this but I have a relative who entered in this business two years ago. He mainly sells it via ebook platforms and he also places links to his main website in the books he sells.

    Hey,

Another way, which is free but very time consuming is using social media. People on social media like facebook tend to be browsing and have time on their hands, so posting in travel groups and pages would really help give it exposure. If you find a group dedicated to people in the US who are traveling to the country with the language you are trying to teach, you can then post to try your course before they go! This is highly targeted traffic but like i said also very time consuming.

Here's an out of the box idea for you.

Quit thinking about one-off sales to individuals. Instead, think about licensing the course to bulk users.

For example, here in Florida, the ability to communicate in any of the following: Spanish, French, German, Russian, Creole, Vietnamese, or Mandarin can give you a distinct advantage applying for many jobs. You might consider licensing your course to places like job training centers, vocational schools, etc. Instead of dealing with one-off sales, you collect a royalty every time they distribute the course to someone in one of their programs.

The initial sales process will likely be longer and a bit more complicated, but once completed will be about as close to a passive income stream as one can get.

Udemy or skillshare I think would both be excellent choices. Then promote the product on Youtube.

Have you thought about doing a Google search on a competing product such as Rosetta Stone, and try and gleam a few marketing ideas from what you see they currently doing?

    1. You can creat a website, write the best review about your English course. Thèn SEO it on Top Google.

    2. You can promote your product via Google ads or Facebook ads. But in this way, you must have a campainge to promote with minimum pay.

    Good luck for you!!!

A great place to sell your courses online is a website called Udemy. Just be sure to implement your SEO in your course titles and descriptions as this will help with ranking it in the search engines. They have millions of students and a great platform for uploading your course, quick payment schedule and very responsive support team.

Post short helpful videos to YouTube providing a small tip or advice. Then, at the end of the video soft-sell your product.

In addition to Udemy I am surprised no one has mentioned Google and ranking on search Engines. These days the first thing people do when they want to learn something is - Google it.

Frankly most people don't even know Udemy exists. thats especially true for those less technical
