Effective Ways to Promote A Hosting Company?

Good day everyone,

I've heard a lot about the Warrior Forum and I'm very glad to finally join and be a part of this wonderful community.

I've recently teamed up with a good friend of mine and I'm currently working with him to promote a hosting company, but we're really struggling to get the project off the ground because the hosting industry is extremely competitive.

When we are able to attract and sign up new customers they are extremely satisfied with the service so we are able to handle the operations side well, its the marketing side that is definitely lacking at the moment.

If you have any advice or ideas we would really appreciate your input, any feedback or guidance will be great.

Thank you

Have you tried to advertise on webmaster groups / forums, blogger ones and marketing ones?

Just figure out who needs web hosting, where they hang out, and advertise in front of them.

The hosting company niche is very competitive. You should advertise on internet marketing forums like warriorforum or webmaster forums where a lot of website owners hang out. You can use google to find these forums.

hit a sub niche, like musicians and performers that want websites.

nobody gets hosting for the sake of getting hosting.. People usually want websites.. play up that angle to a particular niche audience.

"Want to look more professional as an artist? then you need a website"

To follow up on aizaku point...Some people don't buy web hosting because they don't know how to set up their websites.

If you offer to set up their websites for them for free in exchange for them purchasing hosting through your affiliate link, then you will be ahead of your competition.

This is a common method used in the IM niche and it will probably work even better for non IM niches. (Such as the sub-niches aizaku referred to.
