Hi,
Does anyone have any thoughts about what the difference
is about submitting articles for one particular subject to
a directory like ezine, and then using a different author name
when submitting to the same directories with articles that
are a completely different subject?

If you use the same name for the second set of articles,
you will already have been an established author, but
with two different areas of expertise (which may not give
a good impression?)

And if you submit with a new name the second set of articles
you're starting over with ezine.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Bob

    Bobalou,

I wouldn't worry about this to much because I have account setup both ways and it doesn't seem to hurt. You could always use one ezine account and get more then one nick name to write the articles under.

It might get a bit suspicious if you have one account with articles in 50 different niches but two hardly seems like a problem.

  • I think it sets you up as more of a believable person. If some one looks at your profile and sees articles covering 5-6 niches, they get a little weary.

    This is what I do:
I use a different Pen name for each niche. Plus on my blog/site, I use that same pen name.

That seems to work best for me.

Using an alias does not mean starting over. You can have an unlimited number of pen names in your account. If you are at platinum level, all of your pen names are as well.

Ezine articles allows you to set up an account under your real name and then include several pen names that the articles will actually appear under. I use two pen names and I'm pretty sure that Hardwood E. Woodpecker guy might be using a pen name too.

I've been a Platinum author at EzineArticles for about 5 years now. I use pen names all over the place there because I used to ghost write for clients and post their stuff there. It would not have been right for me to use what they'd paid for to help build up my own name. I only post what I write for one of my own properties under my own name (or a pen name I use for my own accounts).
