Marketplace forums / places where to sell your services for free?

Been a bit out of touch with this subject lately so i want to catch up.

What places do you use to sell your internet marketing products / services, for free ?

For example i used DigitalPoint forum with some degree of success in the past but right now there is a 25$ / month fee to post in some marketplace subforums and i don't think it worth the price.

Another example is V7N forum marketplace, never had any success there.

Fiverr is "free" (20% tax is kinda harsh but hey ...).

Any other places where you can advertise your products for free? I'm not interested in paid places.

Come again ? Usually "sells" infers there is some sort of Monetary exchange. I realize you can "sell" yourself and it not cost anything. But not sure in your Context ???

If you don't anticipate a positive return on an investment of $25 (that's less than $1/day advertising costs), you really have to ask yourself whether you've created a product that anyone needs/wants, and therefore why even bother.

  • Depending on the type of work you're doing, you could use Freelancer, Odesk, and similar freelance sites...

You're not going to sell anything unless you put your offer in front of prospects that are looking to buy what you have.

Therefore, it's not "where can I sell for free" but rather where are my targeted prospects going to be found?

If you don't match your offer to the audience . . . it won't matter at all whether the venue is free or paid.

I think you need to spend some time on this forum to understand what matters in marketing and what is just nonsense.
