The problem with bitcoin is that few people either have bitcoin to spend or even know what it is.

Although it is now fairly easy to buy bitcoin - there are lots of online trading sites - you can't expect people to go and buy bitcoin just to pay on your site.

If I were you I'd take a look at using merchant services to handle payments for you. Stripe is a good alternative to Paypal in my opinion.

It's definitely an idea, but it limits your potential market. This also sets you up for possibility of losing if Bitcoin starts to devalue. Keep in mind Bitcoin is currently the most volatile currency on the market.

If PayPal is not available in your country then I would look for something else but just going with Bitcoin is a no no IMO.

Maybe look for sites that can handle your transactions fro you - they will probably take a small % cut but this will allow customers to pay using PayPal therefore increasing your orders due to PayPal being one of the trusted payment methods out there online.

    I hope this helps

PayPal is good and bitcoins work too. Both have their benefits but a lot of people still don't use either and some don't trust PayPal with their credit card. I use a company called Stripe to process my payments. Great company and their app called Invoices2Go is awesome as well

    No.

Selling online is not about you and what's best for you. Figure out a way to make payment to you very easy and intuitive for the customer. Figure out how to make the purchase experience risk-free and fast for the customer.

Get a partner in the U.S. so you can set up payments with PP here if you have to. There are also a number of other merchant account venues.

Accepting only Bitcoin is not the answer - you'll very severely limit those who will purchase from you. Most buyers will not touch Bitcoin as it is today . . . maybe some day in the future . . . but for now it's not an acceptable payment system.

If all of your potential customers use Bitcoin, go for it. If not, find another way.

So much for actually reading posts before responding. OP said PayPal is not an option in his country.

    Hi Dear.
Definitely a good idea, but it limits the potential market. If set to begin in order to minimize the possibility of losing the value of Bitcoin. Note that Bitcoin is still unstable foreign exchange markets.

There are several other payment processors you could use. What country are you from?
You haven't said so i cannot help you more but have a look at Stripe. Might be available in your country.

Before doing so, I would weigh the pros and cons. On one hand, your clients are able to pay you via merchant account. On another hand, you tend to accrue some pretty high fees converting back and forth and you should factor that into your bottom line.

Don't forget your clients will need to pay that fee as well.

I know people who have been facing problems associated with unavailability of paypal in some countries. An easy way out is to find a friend or close family member residing in countries where paypal service is available. Pay them a suitable cut from the transactions and set up an automated payments from their account to your fixed clients.

I would recommend using Stripe or Coinbase pay. They allow you to convert from bitcoin to fiat, so you don't take on any of the volatility of bitcoin.

That's also a good solution. I've used Stripe before and they were a breeze to setup.

Stripe has a lot of hidden fees and pretty bad customer service. I have integrated BTC into my payment portal and I highly recommend Coinbase API.

They might have a lot of hidden fees but at least you don't take bitcoin volatility on the chin... they pay you in Fiat. This is how Overstock or other websites that "accept" bitcoin do it.

    It's a perfect idea actually.
You just need to show people how they can buy bitcoin with their PP/CC/anything else.
Put a link to localbitcoins, bitpay and coinbase.

They will figure the rest themselves.

    I run bitcoin websites.
Mind PMing me the name of your site?
    Thanks

    EDIT:

Forgot to mention. Make a Payza account and link it to your site.
You can withdraw BTC from Payza.

no definitely not. There's one called: Stripe ....and there's a few other 3rd party merchant accounts. Alternatively apparently, there's a lot of new apps that act almost like paypay does. So you upload funds then you buy with those funds, then you can download the funds when you want. I haven't looked into that though but that's apparently a hot new trend that's competing with everything. So look into "payment apps" or something like that.
