1000 unique visitors a day - how?

Let's forget about PPC and talk about SEO and all other ways
and techniques to get visitors to your site.

How do you structure your site and what are you doing in order
to get 1000 visitors a day?

I personally never managed to get more than 300 visitors per day
to my sites.

I target 3-5 keywords and build a static site with 20-30 pages with
keyword optimised content. I also build a blog in a subfolder.

I do submission to 1000 directories, social bookmarking to 50-60 sites,
RSS submission to 30 sites, I build high PR links.... but I cannot in
my wildest dreams generate 1000 visitors a day to my site.

Is there anybody here willing to share that magic formula?

    Not Sure where to start here...Here are some of my thoughts and pardon any stating of the obvious, it must happen as I don't know your level of experience.

    -Can you reasonably expect 1000 visitors a day based on the keywords that you picked? Total searches does not = total visits

    -HOW you social bookmark will make a big difference in its effectiveness and even then it shouldn't be expected to do a lot on it's own. Not to mention if it's just you submiting to a SB site you shouldn't expect that much of a return. How many accounts are you using? Are you using proxies or TOR or outsourcing? and you making the most SB sites by spreading your content through the web through other forms of media besides just your website?(articles, videos, squidoo, social networks)

    -With the right sales funnel 300 visits a day could be very profitable, always consider your offer and your audience first.

    -Before this gets too long let me just say track buyers, not visitors. More visitors doesn't always mean more buyers. After all you care about the sale.

    Certainly much more could be said but It's a learning process and you'll just have to test and tweak as you go. What counts you do all you can to get better and get at least a little better every day.

      I have to agree that your keyword research must be the problem.

      you want to get 1 keyword with 2 variations on it.

      The search volume must be over 2000 a month and competition less than 100 000.

      (best is 12 000 - 20 000 searches and less than 300 000 comp) but hard to find.

      You do your backlinking strategy yours sounds ok but make sure its a consistant effort. (Press releases are awesome).

      You need to repeat this process for at least 10 main keywords and 20 variations.

      oh yeah, you want to have 3 or 4 spots on google to collect the majority of the search volume, so stop building a 30 page site and start backlinkg your articles, squidoo lens , press release and optin page.

        Thanks guys. These are very useful advices, especialy the one about social bookmarking using many accounts, I have only 2 accounts and I am the only one who does bookmarking. I will need to outsource that part in order to increase it.

        Also, my number of keywords and keyword variations must be increased
        and I need to build more pages on social sites.

        I am interested in complete formula:

        what steps exactly would you do when you build a site from scratch
        in order to get 1000 targeted visitors per month?

        I don't see how indexed pages with the targeted keyword in it matters. Competition is what you see on the first page and ultimately the #1 spot, the other hundreds of thousands of pages are irrelevant.
