popup/survey form on exiting a website

Has anyone set up a popup/survey form to ask visitors to a website what they thought of the product they were just leaving?

I have a website that is not getting many hits. I could do with a critique of it and where you see the best market to be for this type of product.

I did think it would appeal to anyone setting up or expanding an established home-based business and wanting software product to sell.

The website address for anyone to go to if they want to is:
www.programcreatortoolboxgold.com

I look forward to your replies about the popup/survey form idea

Yes I do. I use exit grabber, and I redirect my visitors to survey monkey to a custom survey asking them specific questions.

Every now and then I head on over to surveymonkey to see what feedback has been given, and use it to better the direction of my site.

SurveyMonkey.com - Powerful tool for creating web surveys. Online survey software made easy!

    Thanks for this superfast response.

I was thinking more a long the lines of presenting a popup like an optin box but with a simple message field that could be filled in there and then instead of taking the visitor to another site. The entered message I envisaged would be sent to my mailbox.

If this is not possible I will have to take the SurveyMonkey route.

Not at all. This is also very doable. I have the code here on my computer that does something very similiar to what youre asking. Infact I posted it up here on WF not too long ago. PM me and Ill see if I can find it.
