Would You Directly Promote Article in a Related Forum

Hi all,

Would you directly promote an article written for your target market in a related forum ?

For instance I've written an article all about a mountain biking trail centre in "Llandegla in Wales" here
Llandegla MTB Trail Centre - Best Mountain Bike Trails in Wales

Would it be ok to simply write a post in a related "Mountain Biking Forum" saying:

Hey there, if your thinking about visiting Lllandegla mountain biking trail centre why don't you check out my article I've written including actual video footage of the mountain biking trail recorded on my GoPro camera

Look forward to your replies

Could work, but doing exactly as you say sounds more like an ad than anything.

I'd focus on the video footage, not the article.

Something like "I took some cool video with my GoPro on some local biking trails. Love to know what you all think of it, and if you have any of your own stories or videos to share back to me."

    Make sense?
