3 Niches That Never Die

Hi,
I wanted to share 3 niches that I know will always stay strong even during times of economic uncertainties.

Health & Beauty

This industry is by far the most popular niche out there today! The demographic for this market has been traditionally largely female based, however more and more men have been increasing their purchases over the years. Even, during times of economic uncertainties people still continue to make purchases on self-indulging items like lipstick and other small face cosmetics, this will always remain a strong niche to market to.

Parenting & Children's Necessities

When people are not spending money on themselves, they are usually spending money on their children. However, I notice that some families are starting to cut back on this, but they are making up for it by buying their children stuff that provides more comfort than luxury.

Pets

Think that because you are hearing bad stories on the news about dogs and cats being put into shelter homes because people are running low on cash that the pet niche is close to going away. Nothing can be further from the truth! The pet niche has always been and will remain a popular niche. Of course the selection of what kind of pet people are purchasing will depend on what they can afford.

Here are my 3 niches please share yours.

Agreed. When people start a blog or online business that is one of the first things that should be thought about however its usually the last.

A niche is defined as being "a specialized but profitable corner of the market". Not sure how these qualify.

Health, wealth and relationships will always be evergreen markets.

You don't really know what you're talking about do ya...

These aren't niches, they are markets.. should someone follow your advice and enter the "health and beauty" industry.. they are gonna fall flat on their face because the competition is too great..

However... if they were to enter a niche like.. 'lose weight for a wedding'.. they'd have a fighting chance of success.

    And anyway...

    Yokolo.. OP.. dude..

I've already asked you about this but you might have missed it?

I was on your sales page..

..you know the one in your sig.. that promises the price is gonna increase when the time runs out?

well.. the timer ran down to zero.. and the price didn't increase..

Do you recommend using false scarcity like this?

I'm on tenterhooks, listening with bated breath for you to fart out another dose of pungent marketing magic*

    *you may not quote me.

What you said about niches is correct. However, when you reply to someone, can you do it in such a way that is helpful without making them seem like a total idiot. If that's not possible, perhaps you shouldn't reply.

Competition is good, it means there is money to be made.

'Weight loss for a wedding' isn't guaranteed to be a success, because you'll have to target people who are about to get married, and it's hard to find them and target them with ads, the more narrower the niche the more difficult the targeting gets.

It's easier to target general markets.

Yes, it's easier to hit the broad side of a barn than it is to hit the door. But it's a heck of a lot easier to get inside the barn using the door.

In this example, I wouldn't target people about to get married. I would target women about to get married. Much easier to target.

Just remember the phrase "people who interested in ____________ are also interested in _______________." Then just fill in the blanks.

Women who are interested in losing weight for their wedding are also interested in all things bridal - dresses, invitations, honeymoon destinations, etc.

Much easier to make a specific offer than trying to find the handful of people who might click on a generic offer.

I personally feel that these niches are wayyy saturated now. I mean atleast for new people to get into. Health, Weight Loss, Beauty Products, Self Help, Make money online etc...

I am not sure about Pets and Parenting, so that is a new thing I learned today But other than that, I would like to add "Bitcoins" and a lot of unexpected niches like "PC Troubleshooting" and even weird things as "nail art" is a good avenue to go for.

A few days ago, I was doing some keyword research for adsense and found that bitcoins, nail art and a few others, give a whopping ~= $3.5+ CPC, with very low competition. I think they are some pretty good niches to go for as well.

    Thanks for the share

It has to be high quality buying traffic. You can have a great product that won't sell, with just a bunch of freebie seekers ending up on your sit.

Nah. That's just a bunch of people looking for stuff.

A niche is a small group of that bunch of people looking for stuff the rest of the group isn't looking for.

So, health is not a niche as it is too broad. How to stay fit when you're a 50-year old man who's got diabetes, lung cancer and are club-footed is a niche. Because it's zero's in on a desire that few cater to.

Back in the late 1950's a 16-year old full of zest for life, thought the very same thing about his chosen niche: wooden cart wheels. His problem: the world had started to move out of wooden cart wheels to these new-fangled tire wheels. By the time he was 19, he had to find himself another niche though he knew exactly what his niche wanted and could deliver it to perfection.

Since you're the last before my post: No. Those are markets. Niches are waaaaay smaller, focus on a small number of the things (sometimes 1) that fall under health, jobs or entertainment.

Health, Wealth & Happiness are the 3 main lucrative markets. To make money you need to "home in" on a specific niche in these markets. A niche being a subset or smaller part of any of the above markets...however, I guess most people know this.

Yep, I agree. Some of us want to sleep at night and regardless of the amount of Money there is to rake in, I just cannot bring myself to get into this stuff

If you review Yokolo's posting history, you'll see that he doesn't need Mike M's help to look like an idiot...

The most helpful thing he could do is help Yokolo convince himself not to post any more of this "wisdom".

I thought the 3 big ones were

    Health ad Fitness

    Business

    &

    Relationships

I guess depending on who you listen to
it will change, but still. You should just focus
    on one niche.

I couldn't agree more, but those aren't the only niches that will never die.

I would put the IM/MMO niche right at the top of that list.

I really like niches that people don't get passionate about. Have you ever seen anyone get excited about a toaster oven? Less passion means less fanboy competition and less saturation overall. Something like a toaster oven is great because someone isn't going to spend much time researching, most people just want a fair price from a well known retailer that has some positive reviews. You don't have to do much convincing, you just push them in the right direction.

I'm not going to say anything about them not being niches. But truth's been born dead!

How do I know? I read it on the internet, of course: Gorilla destroys property, blames the cat. Are all primates liars? - NaturalNews.com. Koko, the gorilla that knows how to sign got angry and destroyed the sink in its room. When asked what happend, Koko signed: The cat did it. The cat in question, is Koko's roommate/pet.

The cat did not sign anything, but I'm betting it would have signed The gorilla ate it if you'd ask it what happened to the cockatoo.

Make Money niche would also be a great niche that never die also, that not many people are sharing exactly what they do to generate an income, and you can count them on your hands.

People don't like to admit it, but pornography is what drove the early days of e-commerce innovation. Even to this day, about 30 percent of Internet traffic revolves around pornography.

Somebody once told me to find a basic human need and cater to it. I think that was sage advice indeed.

Given there is a problem to be solved in a market, the niches are unlimited. Key would be to find the "buying keywords" and offering value to that market. Value that they will get for free and feel valued and then may be after a while become your customer...

    People will ALWAYS want to:

    - look good/be healthy
    - have sex/have a partner
    - make money/get rich

So the best and most profitable markets that never die are:

    - Health & Ftness
    - Dating
    - MMO (Make Money Online)

Parenting and pets are also ever-green, but they are not as profitable.
