Default Facebook Account Deleted

One of my friend's facebook accout has been deleted, She had about 2,000 friends over there. She did not do any marketing or anything over there, She just have her friends added there. Really wonder for this action.
(Due to this, I have disconneted some of my friends in FB)

Anybody had got the same experience.

there HAD to be a reason. I have over 1000 contacts on FB and the ONLY time I ever got a warning was when I added friends too fast.

But really?

Who has 2000 friends.

Realistically who has 20 or 30 real Friends?

And THAT might be pushing it! I was thinking of having a fall bash and inviting 2000 of my closest friends, but when I sent out the invitations only TWO replied! Now I feel like a social outcast!

if you are going to be pushing 2000 "friends" you are using facebook wrong probably

you should be creating a facebook "page" like this

Pages | Facebook

and get "fans" instead of "friends"

well, not all of the people you have on F have to be your close knit friends. A lot of mine ar ethere because every now and the I like to reminisce the good ols days and wonder how some of the people I knew back then are doing, kinda frineds reunited thing. I recently added a few names form over 20 years ago, when i was an under 14 chess player playing national qualifying rounds.

In fact some of my best friends I dont have on FB. I have them on skype so i talk to them live if they far away from me, or ring them, or just plain catch a plane and pay them a visit (I live in the Canaries and have friends all over them)

I wish I could get deleted from Facebook. I have an account there they just refuse to deactivate no matter how many times I try.

Same here, its the red flag that comes out when you've added friends too fast! Since then I didn't request adding friends, I just let my friends invite me. I have now 3,773 Friends as of this moment.

I know someone who did zero marketing at all and got suspended for a week for what amounted to socializing too much. She went around and--gasp!--commented on all her friends' posts and left messages on their walls. And she is 100% a non-marketer. But, I guess Facebook sees too much socializing as a problem.

I'm thinking that if you socialized too much and got banned, and then stepped and repeated, eventually they'd give you the boot.

I do social media for some companies. From my experience with FB it does appear that they are quick to block, delete, ban, suspend etc. etc. for small infractions like adding friends to fast, interacting on to many walls etc.
Yet they support applications like Mafia Wars that encourage this activity.

What I tell my clients to do is use FB as a tool to promote something and then consider moving the traffic to client owned site or interact sparingly but enough to keep interest.
