PLR or Original Content on a Website(that I'm going to sell)

Hey what's up. Building and selling sites sounded like fun so I thought I'd give it a go.

I just about have my first site finished I just need to add content. I'd do it myself but I have chronic pain in my hands.

I'm wondering would it be better to just find some free PLR articles for it or outsource the articles. At Articlez.com I can get 200 articles for $4.00 apiece so would dropping $40 for 10 be worth it? I mean would it add enough value to the site to justify doing it?

It also depends on how much you want to get for your site. By using unique articles you should fetch a higher selling price. It also depends on your market. I sell a lot of sites on Ebay and most of the buyers on Ebay are newbies and don't really know a lot about the difference of PLR and unique articles on a site, so it is less likely to get that higher price just because the articles are unique, so in that case I usually just use PLR.

If I was going to sell on Flippa though then I might use unique and try for the higher sell price.

Good point, I actually am going to be selling on eBay because the $20 listing fee per auction on Flippa is a bit too pricey for me right now.

      Thanks for the advice guys

Opt for outsourcing. Original articles are better than PLR. I outsource my writing. I don't use PLR on my sites. But I use PLR for link building where I post them on other people's blogs or web 2.0 properties.

    Brandstrom,

With your situation I think you should hire a ghostwriter to create your content. Although, I think that PLR is a great way to go especially if you take 10-15 minutes and rewrite it. Don't skimp, hire a quality writer and you will have a winner.
