EZA is taking forever to approve articles for me. I emailed them and they said that they've been experiencing an "unexpectedly" large amount of article submissions.
I obviously can't wait 15 days (yes, its been that long) to start promoting my websites, so I need an alternative. Don't say GoArticles because none of my articles there ever get indexed. Is Article Base good enough? Also, do your articles actually get indexed there? |

I'd go with Big Mike's article bot, submits to hundreds of directories including the big ones you've mentioned, goarticles, eza, article city).
If you email him first he usually does a special offer for warriors too, well worth a look. |

Tell me about it, i just started a new niche and put up an autoresponder for it. It has been two weeks and no article approval from EZA. My subscription for the autoresponder is running and i am not getting my moneys worth.

Yes same with me.
I submitted 15 articles on 30th August 2009 and yet my articles are still in the editorial queue to be reviewed. Ezine Articles is getting saturated. Even the paid members are having problems I assume? Its taking ages.. So I might submit to Associated Content |

20 articles? Is this what happened to you? If EZA continues like this, writers will eventually leave them.

They've been taking ages for me too. I think that they're wanting people to upgrade to the paid only version?
One of my articles from the 16th of August is still pending (whilst some that I submitted on the 25th of August have been approved..) Very odd. |

I just had 73 articles approved today, and yes - I submitted
them today. But of course I am a premium member. So - I guess, it's a first-come-premium-before-others. But seriously - if you have tons of articles to submit and you're getting good results from article marketing, getting the premium subscription is worth it, considering the trouble you go through otherwise. See the below recent thread for more on whether to go for the premium subscription or not: EZA So Frustrating. So i Purchased Their Premium Service . |

I just got Big Mike's TrafficMania. I am impressed. I still manually submit to several major ones. It took me about 3 times running it to get sorted out which directories in the list were keepers. Now it runs very smoothly.
I have a list of the ones I submit to manually - I keep the IDs, passwords and other details on an index card. I love index cards! |

EZA are not treating their writers very well, that`s for sure.
I`ve had great success with americanchronicle.com in some niches (mostly business related). This article directory gets 10x the traffic as EZA, and many of their articles are listed on Google as well. You will need to apply for a free account, and once approved, the approval process is much, much faster than EZA. Buzzle.com works well for some niches as well. If you have a very well converting offer, you might wanna try Press Release Distribution Services - WebWire. They charge $20 per article submission, but if you choose your keywords wisely (enough searches and up to 20.000 competing pages, quoted), you should get Google page #1 ranking in 24 hours. Hope this helps

Blog talkradio instead. Indexed in a few hours. And than use article marketer for a bunch of article directories if desired.
Hey, Alex Williams: can you just submit an article as a press release? Or does that need to be rewritten in some way before submitting as a press release? |

My advice is to experiment. I don't think anyone can tell you how well your articles will do in any article directory -- it really depends on your niche & the SEO competition you're up against in the SERP's. If there are a few EZA articles on the 1st page results already, you might be better off submitting to Articlebase, Buzzle or Hubpages. |

I miss the good old days. I once had EZA approve an article in nine minutes. I don't even bother anymore because I hate writing articles. It doesn't take long; I just hate doing it.

Mine usually get approved within 1-2 days. I wonder if there are different editors for different topics and perhaps more popular topics take longer.
I also use Allen Graves' http://www.website-articles.net He usually approves within 24 hours and I get good search engine results. Love, Shannon |

I thought it was only me that has been experiencing the same thing. However, I will rather wait for EZA as they are the best for me.
That does not however mean you should not use other sites. Choice is yours. In fact distributed the articles to so many directories is the best but I prefer waiting for EZA so I don't fall into the duplicate content nonsense. |

Hi Sashas, I write articles now and then and l subscribed to Ezine Articles they are very professional and do not take for ever to approve your articles usually between 2 - 5 days depending on your ranking they are even faster than that. And they do index your articles. I recommend highly. If you are having trouble then l am not sure what more you can do except email them like you have and it could be that that are being saturated like Imran said. l have received good traffic from them because of my articles. Good Luck

They don't work on the weekend, do they?
I submitted some early Friday morning and they aren't approved as yet. Usually it only takes a day or two. I'm going to have about 30 articles getting accepted at about the same time. I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing. |

Here's a screenshot of my control panel:
Screenshot The last article was submitted on the 25th of August. That's almost 15 days. I already have around 40 articles on EZA, so I'm not a new member either. Right now, I'm very tempted to get a premium membership because I know that EZA can do wonders to your ranking if used right.. |

I'm not sure, but cant you upgrade your account at EZA so that they approve your articles quickly? I'd have to say its definetely worth it as Ezine Articles gets a HUGE amount of traffic.

Here is the reality folks cause it's time to wake up and smell the hummus.
EZA is getting pounded with submissions and as a result, for most people (me included) article approval times are now insane. But...and this is the cold hard reality...they have no reason to care. They have a paid membership. Want your articles approved faster? Pay it. Think they're not now getting tons of people upgrading because of the massive delays? That's what they want...more money so that they can pay their ever rising cost of keeping the site going. They get NOTHING from us folks who submit our articles for free? Adsense? Please...they have enough articles out there already to make a decent Adsense income and our few articles we write won't add to that bottom line all that significantly. But imagine if EVERY author upgraded to paid status. Get out a calculator folks and do the math. This is what it is and with the increasing number of authors, it's not going to get better anytime soon. Welcome to the real world. |

What I do is just keep writing more articles and eventually they will be approved one by one. If your going to have an autoresponder eventually then set up a website with an index.php redirect to an affiliate link for now until the article is live and when your article is live then change the redirect to your new autoresponder squeeze page. You won't catch any subscribers but - oh well. Here is something interesting I got from Ezine articles website. There are slightly over 199,200 authors with articles there. Do you know how many authors there are that have more than 100 articles? Approx. 2950. If you write and submit a hundred or more articles then I would consider you serious about article writing. I would consider those good odds if you write good content - I don't believe some of the stuff that gets by even now. It seems to me that most people only write 1 or 2 articles and give up article marketing for good when they don't see results. I just think that you have to be patient. Just think....pretty soon you'll have hundreds of little salesmen (resource boxes) helping you get people to your web site by clicking on your links. The more little salesmen you got the more traffic you get. Those with the most articles wins! | |

Go with goarticles.com + some other directories which have PR4 or more. You can get more traffic than EZA, I am sure about it.

I don't know. I was just making a point about how only the top 1.5% of authors have more than 100 articles. With the flood of articles bombarding EZA's lately I'm thinking it won't last. Probably until the recession is over and when every body gets back to work at their JOB's and when their stab at internet marketing doesn't pay off. They'll quit.
