4 quick ways to brand yourself THE authority of choice

Did you see:

Really smart ideas too, like:

1. Build Your Own Facebook Group and Host Live Facebook AMA Sessions

AMA means 'ask me anything'.

People are easily swayed by someone who boldly says, I can and will answer all your questions!

The other ideas are of merit as well.

Proactively position yourself as an authority....

... and that is how you will be viewed.

Enjoy!

Number 2 is the key, in my opinion:

Create Content that Solves the Problems of Your Audience

If you can consistently do that, you'll become one of the go-to sources in your niche/market. And, people will be ready/willing to buy your product(s). However, the problem is that most people that get into MMO want/expect instant results. It takes time and consistency to become an authority.

    Very nice, short and sweet

Another way is to become prominent on YouTube.

As mentioned by Aizaku, interview peeps who are known in the field you are trying to be prominent in. This will then make others seeing your videos think you must be "pretty well known in the (whatever space you're trying to be an authority in)".

    I hope this helps

This is what KingHuman did and now he's reaping the rewards of it. However it took him several years to do this.

I didn't like him at first, thought he was douchey but...

He really knows how to brand himself like a boss!

    Yep.

Since I was 14 I proactively threw things higher, longer and further than other people.

Several world records later . . . still hold the record for the furthest anything thrown by a human . . . I'm perceived as an expert on throwing things a long way and sought out for that skill.

    Second example.

Continuously shared and taught people about how to do what I do in my business themselves by teaching adult education classes and private tuition over many years.

Ended up writing over three-quarters of the resources used to train apprentices in my industry nationwide.

    Third example.

Found a gap in one market no-one was talking about or if they were they didn't step up and own that market.

Made a series of educational videos and group of products to fill that market.

Now some five years later am perceived as one of the experts in that market.

All of the above efforts have taken time.

Time to experiment and become proficient.

    Time to refine and develop.

Too often I see such great potential without an understanding of commitment.

Great achievers in any field understand the compounding effect of commitment to an outcome over time.

    Best regards,

    Ozi

Throwing things...that's quite a specialized niche for anyone to be in! Wow.

As for becoming an authority, I've read in several places that it takes 10,000 hours of practice to become an expert at anything. I think there are a few areas where this applies to me, and most people probably have at least one skill they've devoted that much time to.

However, with short attention spans being prevalent today, especially online, people are looking for quick answers to easy questions. You can begin to position and present yourself as an authority on any subject with far less time put into it than 10,000 hours. All you need is to put more time into it than the people who are looking for answers in that niche.

    Quick and to the point.

I've done 2 and 3 Barb, but not the FB live AMA.

I will though because I use FB Live often, and that's just a GREAT way to get people involved.

    Thank you for this, truly!
