Is it possible to make money this Halloween with one costume?

I have a costume idea that I know will absolutely kill this season, but don't know how to make money from it. Any suggestions? Thanks.

edit: I'm not making the costume by the way.

    I expect it's far too late for this season. The largest online costume seller in the country starts promotions in January for the following October.

    The idea would need to be executed and produced and then advertised....not enough time in my opinion.

    You are joining the party late for Halloween, unless you planning the next year.

    Unless you planning to sell Halloween customs on eBay, I don't think you got a shot. This being said, it is still a good time to plan the valentine season

    Have you done any market research on your idea?

    Even though you say "I know will absolutely kill this season" . . . in fact, you don't know that at all . . . not if you haven't done your homework.

    The Internet is littered with millions of products that were total flops even though the creator swore they were "can't miss killers."

    No matter what you do, make sure you have approval from the trademark owner if it's trademarked. Even if it's not, I would start getting ready for NEXT year's Halloween. As others have said above, it's too late for this year.

    All depends...

    Is the costume evergreen where you can sell it for the next 10 years or temporary like either Clinton or Trump, whichever one of the two losers lose the election and will be forgotten?
    • If the costume is temporary, social media TODAY.
    • If the costume is evergreen, you have plenty of time to grow the business for next year like Kay mentioned.

      This is a temporary costume and will be hot this year only IMO. It's kind of a meme at the moment and at the center of a huge viral video.

      I think Facebook advertising would be great for it and the best place I found for the costume is Amazon. Do they allow direct linking? Should I set up a web 2.0 page for it?

    Costumes are a dime a dozen now so you would need manufacture in china so the price would be very low.

        So you're an Amazon affiliate and you're just selling a product that already exist?

        If that's the case I totally misunderstood you. I thought you were going to create a new costume.
