Domain Portfolio - Cash Parking or Mini Media Sites??

Hi

I have been accumulating domains since 1997 and some are good, some are bad and some are in the middle, and some are complete garbage but I hold them nonetheless.

I have 744 domains now and it is only the result of addiction, I can't help it, when I see a good one on the auctions I buy them, or if I think of a business site and see if the keyword is available, I get it. I also checked for bankrupted businesses and see if I can get their domains if they have some traffic or value.

So I finally want to monetize them.

I had some ideas. Forget reseller auctions, i know those are worthless for reselling domains GENERALLY speaking.

So I have cash parking options, or making mini media sites. I never really gave cash parking a chance, and I never wanted to get the presumed black listing by Google for the cash parking history that I heard can happen/.

So I was thinking of making simple sites... seo optimized, revolving around the keyword and provide some content per domain, with the goal of gathering a revenue level of $50 to $75 per month per domain, or less.

Another idea I had was to package a good domain into a business package and offer it for sale to a local business with a website template, hosting plan and all the basic SEO stuff and social media connections for around $2-3K.

I can auto these systems no problem, and I think the latter idea has tremendous potential since many of the domains fall into great local business niches and offer great value, but I really don't want to give up many of the domains.

Any ideas or guidance anyone?

Thanks

While it is an option but with 744 domains, little SEO is not little any more

Have you considered launching your own domain marketplace ?

Yea I did a test and had a huge positive response with one domain geared towards commercial property contractors in Phoenix, AZ. I used direct mail, showed them the domain pertinent to their business, and that it comes with a website, basic host plan, social sites, and I made it a point that the organic nature of the domain was what was going to increase their credibility and free leads.

If you're not going to sell them, I'd definitely do mini-media sites with advertising. Parking hasn't been worth it to me in the past, and I've bought and sold a lot of domains. The best results I've gotten have always been with making mini-sites out of the domains, or just selling them outright on the regular seller marketplaces.

I think the best option is to sell them off unless you find a better way to make money out of them to cover your yearly cost. I suggest you to sell the good ones with "Premium" price and the rest at the normal price. That is my preference if I am in your situation. It gives you instant cash flow to invest in some other things which could be more profitable.

if you have the capital to build them up then do it..

you could sell them off later when u have some adsense traction
