Kindle Publishers: Are You Building An Email List?

Hey guys,

For all you Kindle publishers out there, how many of you have a link to your squeeze page? (good for you if you do)

How many people are actually clicking through and joining your list though? I'm seeing fewer and fewer people click through, but maybe it's because I need to change my call-to-action.

I do it. I make most of my money with Kindle on the back-end.

People click when the book was valuable. Also, the call to action is important. The title of your emails, etc

    I'm not kindle publisher ..

but i read your post on another thread about kindle publishing, sounds like a good extra income stream for content I already have laying around.

im more motivated to do it now that you say we can link to our squeeze pages..

I don't sell any back end products through my Amazon books, so I don't do this. The books are pretty much standalone products. But, I DO include links to my various social media sites, where people who buy the books can click through to see updates on what I'm doing. I post things like details of my creative process, information on upcoming new books or other products, and the occasional coupon. People DO click through. I get about 15-25 new followers each week across my three social media sites with this technique.

You might want to give away a free cheat sheet or free checklist or even a supplemental booklet.
This gives browsers an incentive to join your list.
Also, the freebie can be used to MOTIVATE the browser to buy your Kindle book.
