How Many Clicks Before You Quit?

Hello!

Newbie here. I recently started promoting a health product on ClickBank through PPC ads on Bing. I got 60 clicks so far in one day and was thinking about ending the campaign since I haven't had any sales yet.

In your experience, how many clicks do you give a product to get a sale before you end the campaign and move on to another product?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank You!

Leo

Is your campaign optimized? Have you tested any alternatives in your ads or landing page? Are you opting in people before sending them to the affiliate offer?

You have a lot of testing to do before you give up.

Yes, Brent's right. Testing is the key to know if what you're doing works or not. Instead of giving up, why not work on it?

      Good luck.

    Slow down.

Where's the traffic coming from, email list, paid ads, etc...?

The traffic is coming all from paid ads on Bing.

I guess I can tinker with some keywords but the majority of clicks are coming from one key word that match perfectly what the product is about.

Only after 60 clicks? sounds like expensive traffic..

you could send them to a squeeze page and romance them a bit before they fall in love and buy from you...using the same keyword ad target

or you can try to flip the market by going after a cheaper but related keyword where you have to 'market' the connection between the two.

    Example:

    cheap target: free BMI calculator

flip them to: you need to get so and so's slow carb diet weight-loss plan!

I'd do that with a squeeze page as well,

    best of luck

PS you're almost there, you got what most people complain about on my list. "I dont know where to get traffic."

    60 clicks arent very many.

I understand the discouragement though. I just got my feet wet with ppc too. 180 clicks, 5 ads rotation, 3 landing pages. 0 sales. Im not giving up though (well maybe on this offer lol).

Keep at it. If it was easy to get started everyone would be doing it.

It's optimizing and finding the right keywords. If your direct linking straight to the offer hopefully your promoting a page that is already proven to convert with good EPC's

Ideally you would like to build a list with that traffic and create and optimize a email sequence and you can do much better in the long run...

I am doing same promoting clikcbank products via Bing ads. My advice is to create landing page and collect leads and then do email marketing, higher conversion rate and you will be building a list. If you still wanna do it directly than at least 200 clicks and tracking platform is a must, otherwise you will end up losing money!

Thanks Guys! I will try the email marketing route. Might as well get some emails from getting all these clicks and create a squeeze page.

Direct linking with cold traffic? I usually send at least 100-200 clicks before I would pull the plug

It would have a lot to do with the value of the product among other things. But its a good idea to set a limit to ensure you don't waste money on a dud product or a dud website presentation of it.

200 clicks at a BARE minimum and 500 if you really want to know if you have a chance. Make sure your prices are very competitive; otherwise, you are just wasting your money.

Without knowing more details it's difficult to comment but it doesn't sound like you have enough data yet. What are you promoting and how much does it pay? How much have you spent on your clicks and how many different keywords?

I need at least 100 clicks (200 is a better number, as suggested by other fellow warriors here) in order to figure out if the strategy is successful. This is a game where a lot of tests and changes need to be done.

  • I started also just out got 40 clicks so far but I know everything takes and time so I can wait for few months but meanwhile test other strategies as well. whats your thoughts on superbsolonetworks is it worth a try or is it useless?

I have no clue what superbsolonetworks is. I visited their website and there is no information about who their "members" are (or how anyone even becomes a "member"). Unless Emails are being delivered to a targeted group of real people who are interested in your products, it seems like a waste of money to me.

I run a campaign until spending exceeds twice the amount of commission per sale. I had found this tip in an ebook and saved me a lot of money.

At just 60 clicks it's going to hard to tell where the "leak" is in your funnel if there is one.
Different factors will produce different results...imo mainly keywords
are you using exact match, content,or phrase on your keywords?
Are you collecting the leads or sending them straight to sales page?
Although sending straight to sales pages in itself isn't a bad thing as long as your opt ins are also landing in your AR.

What is your honest opinion of the sales page itself, would you unbiasedly purchase the product yourself?

Too many factors to give an opinion that will carry any weight. But 60 clicks isn't enough even for yourself to evaluate. 100 minimum to assess any campaign.

60 clicks isn't enough to make a go/no go decision.

One thing you have learned is that most of your clicks are coming from one keyword.

The next step is to do a "peel and stick" on that keyword. Set up an ad group with just that word and start testing ads. Combine that with even a reasonably competent email marketing campaign, and you should do well if the CB product converts.
