Hi, Does anyone know a plug in for Word Press that will turn the title of post and add it to the URL and not just a number. Here is what it looks like now How to Launch a New Product | transparentlaunch.com I want it to look like http://transparentlaunch.com/how_to_launch_a_product I also have a number of other blogs that I would like to customize this for. I have been told there are some free plugins for word press that can do this anyone know what they are?. If there is not any does anyone have any ideas how to do this.... easily (no knowledge of coding) Appreciate any assistance! Kind Regards Paul Urban Transparent Launch transparentlaunch.com "follow me on my first product launch" |

Go to options, and change your permalink structure to custom and put: /%category%/%postname%/ or just /%postname%/ if you don't want the category name in the address |

just a related question: why do WP page url's look and end like folders .../my-post/ but they don't act like folders, you can't add something to complete it eg typing /my-post/index.php in your browser, it will give an error Just wondered if my dbase server crashes fatally how to resurrect those urls in plain php or html... |

To get to the admin menu in wordpress, just type domain.com/wp-admin and it will take you to the admin section. You will need to login with an admin account to make changes. Use either All-In-One SEO or Platinum SEO, and also Permalink Moved Plugins. Then use the post editor to modify the url to be whatever you want it to be. |
