Hi guys i am in the dating coaching business and our website doesn't seem to be getting that much traffic. I am pretty new to SEO so i'd like to know what keywords should i be using in the niche that would rank high in the search engines? Would appreciate if someone would examine the keywords on my site and explain why i'm not getting a high ranking. Here is my website Thanks |

Someone might jump in and donate their time for this, but that's a pretty big undertaking. SEO experts get hundreds and even thousands of dollars for what you're asking. Just a friendly heads up. John |

I *might* be able to help you, but it would be paid work only. As a starting point, have a look at this... http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=e...nAU343&aq=f&oq= Your title and description tags are horrible. In addition to this you have 20 pages indexed - not exactly going to light the house on fire. |

This can be difficult to tell as it depends upon the specific niche you are targeting. Irish dating seems like it could be pretty broad - does that essentially include everybody interested in dating in the country of Ireland, Irish couples throughout the world, or something else? Start with a keyword tool like Google's Adword Suggestions Tool. Then create a list of broad keywords which relate to your industry: Irish Dating, Leprechaun dating, whatever broad terms fit. Put those terms into the tool and see which more narrow phrases turn up that fit your content - and continue building from there. One thing I notice is that I can't easily tell what keywords you're targeting from looking at the website. Ideally your keyphrases should be at the beginning of your page titles, and repeated (with or without variations) once or twice in the content. If you accomplish only this much in on page optimization, you've gone a long way towards optimizing your site. The rest is really a matter of backlink building, preferably as naturally as possible (other people linking to you on their own or by way of your asking for backlinks). See, you're ranking high for the keywords in your page titles now - Ireland's leading dating coaches - but is that the phrase you want to rank for? Find specific targeted phrases, then optimize for them. Hope that gets you started, Kevin | |

Hello Commissioner, The Google Keyword tool is great for doing keyword research and it's free. I personally use it sometimes, but mostly use Micro Niche Finder (micronichefinder.com) for my keyword research (costs $97 though). I've also heard really good things about Market Samurai (marketsamurai.com), but I haven't used this one myself. They have a free trial I believe... - Kevin |
