Bookmarking and Pinging - How Is It Working For You?

just wondering how bookmarking has been working for everyone these days. From what I have found lately, bookmarking still has value, but the trick is getting your bookmark accounts indexed.

Do you find that bookmarking still works well for you?
What do you do to get your bookmarks indexed?
Do you use scuttle sites, or stick with the main bookmarking sites?
thanks for your help!

    Hey man

Bookmarking & Pinging has always been working well for me. I have it all outsourced on auto pilot now for peanuts tho. First I get my blogs indexed with the help of a few tools including aspects of Google Labs. Then I just have blogs made on high PR websites, hourly articles with same consitent links on them, all my links have the article blog link on them, then after a post i do my pinging ...then rinse and repeat. Once I see the spiders crawling daily then I have the outsources trim down the hourly articles to daily. One trick to save money with them is to have them setup the post options ahead of time. What I mean by that is not to publish the article but assign it to publish in an hour, then the next one the next hour ect..... usually an outsourcer can paste an article, the title, and the time settings in 20-30 seconds....so you can bang out a week of postings in just a few hours!

What has been working for you?

Bookmarking still works out excellent, but the game has changed a bit...

Now you want to target some other places and go for quantity, also make sure your bookmarks get picked up by google, its no good to have 100 links and none of them are indexed in google.

So hitting places like jumptags, folkd, delicious, propeller and digg will pretty much continue to help you... the list goes on and on for sure but if you're tight on time just hit those you'll be fine.

NOTE: ** Just make sure to hit extremely low competition kws and make sure to have your onpage SEO correctly executed, otherwise that little link building effort wont do the trick.

Have you tested the benefit vs time of pinging your rss feeds for tags and profiles? I have heard that works well for getting bookmarks indexed. Also, I have heard that using feedwordpress to pull in rss feeds that are mashed from many bookmark accounts and post them on blogs helps to get bookmarks indexed. Have you tried that?

If you're using wordpress there's great plugins for pinging, so you dont have to waste a second of your time doing it.

When I use to use Wordpress blogs then the Feedwordpress plugin worked great. But now that I outsource everything I just use free HighPR blogs to save time and in all honesty they get indexed just as good if not even better. Especially VS a domain you just bought with WP installed on it.

I understand what you are saying, but I am not concerned with the blog post getting indexed, I am talking about making bookmarks more effective by getting them indexed. That is without spending much time on the process.

One of the tricks is to bookmark your bookmark profiles... But that is only part of it, you must use interlinking exchange to be fully effective..

Exactly... and most people miss that, they just do a couple of bookmarks on the top places and call social bookmarking done.

Cross Linking is powerful... do it
Profile links add up... create more and more profiles

These are things you either want to get seo nuke to do or outsource to other people that own seo nuke. (it's just the time saver for the task, bookmarking demon is not bad... either)

What do you mean you use high PR blogs. Are you saying you only post on high PR blogs for backlinks instead of using social bookmarking?

No, I am just saying in general they usually help me to get indexed more quickly. I post everywhere once that is kicked started of course
