Hi Warrior, Having a personal identity on a squeeze page can increase trust and sign-ups, right? The photo on my page (:: AbMyths.com : Easiest Way to Six-Pack Abs, Defined Muscle, Oodles of Energy & Vibrant Health...) is a little too silly, I think. *** Do you have any suggestions for composing a better one? *** Thx! Scott ps: General comments on page also very welcome! |

Hi Scott, I think you already know the answer here... That photo is RIDICULOUS for a fitness product. You're better off with just your signature. Personal blog? Ok... maybe. Fitness product? No. Good luck, Brian |

That pic doesn't fit your page at all IMO. Looking at the two pics to the left of your photo makes you look like you shouldn't be selling this product. I think you could possibly make yourself look strong and confident (never seen you otherwise though), but you're... er... costume doesn't convey that message. Then again I suppose you knew that :P I can't really give better advice than remove the costume, look more confident (may fall in with removing the costume), and try striking a pose that puts your head closer to your arms/chest (like sitting on 1 leg with arm resting on leg?), flexing your arm muscles a bit (not obviously in your face/etc.), with good back posture. If possible, you could "ask" a fitness photographer's opinion. I don't know how expensive they are, but there's gotta be some free info on taking pictures of people for purposes like this floating around the 'net. Hope I helped a bit |

Yikes! Bad choice on photo friend. The sooner you get that off, the better. As far as a replacement, I'd go for a picture of your face...or even a stock photo if you want to go that route, but not what you have. No-no! |

You already knew the answer to the question. When I look your site, I would not have confidence in you based on your picture. The other part of your premise comes across well. Definitely lose the picture and put a more serious picture on your site.

If at present you're not sporting the six pack you're promoting, how about an action shot? Chuck on a tracksuit, hand your camera to a friend, and get them to take a snap of you jogging from about 5 meters away or something. Then, you like like your walking the talk (or running it) and given that you'll be moving and a little far away, you won't have to worry too much about posing or getting the perfect shot. |

Thanks everyone! I've removed the photo for now (anyone who want's to see it can look to http://www.abmyths.com/sjphoto.jpg). I'll work on a new one based on the helpful advice given above. In case anyone wants to offer general comments on the squeeze page: :: AbMyths.com : Easiest Way to Six-Pack Abs, Defined Muscle, Oodles of Energy & Vibrant Health... . Thanks again! WF rules! After a quick glance, here are a couple of thoughts... Your copy isn't compelling enough. You don't have a good enough "bribe" to entice maximum opt-ins. Your submit button is too plain. (make it bigger, change the text, etc.) |
