Default 3 Weeks Now, Still No Sales or Opt-Ins. Am I just too Impatient?

I opened my website last Aug 24 and lots of things has changed. The whole layout has changed, thanks to many of the suggestions here, looks a lot better now than before.

I had received a total of 76 visits from Google, and 61 from referring sites. In Google USA using the keywords "custom leather bracelets", I am #5 in search rankings, #2 at Google Canada, and #5 in UK.

In terms of getting traffic, I recently used Onlywire wherein I had to sign-up with 27 social networking and bookmarking sites just only the other day.

Am I now on the right track? Or does it take more time in order for me to like generate my first sale?

If there are some things I need to further work on, please do advice me.

My website is Custom Leather Bracelets | Leather Wristbands | Custom Leather Cuffs for Promotional Items, Campaigns, and Fundraising Needs - Home

Thank you!

Hey Mondort I just got my opt in set up a short time ago and have a few members on my list so I'm not an expert at all on this part.

I'm thinking with the search term "custom leather bracelets" maybe you're getting traffic looking for personal use and not promotional use. Maybe try switching the offer up for your opt in.

I think you need to change 3 things:

1) The headline is brutal. You don't need to put your domain name in there. Waste of space and my attention.

2) Header logo is way too much ... red on blue harsh as heck to look at. I struggle to even READ the word in red.

3) Your background color goes from black to white in a weird spot. Make it ONE consistent color.

Otherwise you have a decent site.

Hmmmmmm... I was thinking about that too. Though in the Google search results, it says "for promotional and fundraising use" etc, makes me wonder why people still click it though.

Through keyword search and adwords, I had to do away with some terms to make sure I do not get this traffic by avoiding words such like "personalized leather bracelet" or "customized leather bracelets". Since my products are more on wholesale, I wonder if it usually takes long before I get first sale?

Also, would it be a good idea to put something like "Refer a Friend" promo wherein if someone refers the business, they get like freebies or discounts?

Also ... your opt-in form is REALLY hard to read. You need to re-do the fonts on all of this to focus on making it readable. Your hyperlinks on the page are images ... why not just use text? if you must use graphics make them CLEAN. They are very fuzzy.

Here is the issue IMO:
1) number 5 or even number 2 in Google means diddly with this low of traffic numbers. You MUST be #1 to get any traffic that will matter. You also need to target all the long tales that work well with your main term: Cheap, New, Used, Bulk, Large Quantity, Wholesale, Engraved, Thick, Thin, Dark, Light Leather Bracelets...etc etc...you get the idea I hope.
2) social traffic from social sites is GARBAGE! Those people ain't lookin' to buy anything... they are surfing for fun in between checking out YouTube vids.

the best layout in the world won't convert info-addicted Stumblers or Diggers.
Organic traffic is what you need and you need to be in the number 1 slot.

Your opt-in box has a very difficult-to-read font, a jarring
color scheme, and confusing verbiage.

Have you considered that business owners simply don't
believe leather bracelets are a good advertising investment?

The other writing has similar ambiguity issues - it's just not
communicating your offer effectively.

Your company name implies flakiness, too. I wouldn't ever
call a product not specifically targeted at pot-smokers
anything like "stoned".

Damn.... so much work to do, but I am sure it will all be worth it. Hope you could all monitor the changes as hopefully in the next 24-48 hours, there will be HUGE changes on the site and the business as well.

Actually even before I came up with the site, I did test marketing on a 2-pager website. We made a sale in barely a month time. We also did surveys and many of those we surveyed mentioned that the product is cute and different.

I was looking at the name which has to be changed. Thanks for that observation.

It may be another sleepless night for me but its gonna be worth it.

hmmmmm... maybe this is one thing I lack.

Though isn't it that when they click on the search link leading to my site at Google, they know that it is a sales website and that something ought to really be sold to them?

Actually, the numbers meaning the numbers of unique visitors are okay, its just that they are not converting well. Though it is too early to assume too, its good that people here are seeing things that I do not see.

Website is going on a new theme. Analytics tell me that the is traffic, my site is at the 1st page of Google search in USA, Canada, and UK. At Google search, my organic search comes out as

"Custom leather bracelets, personalized leather wristbands, custom leather cuffs and custom leather wristbands for your promotional item, campaign, ..."

so people are supposed to be aware that these bracelets are for promotional items and campaigns. I just don't know if they are aware it is wholesale, just like the rubber bracelets.

Anyway, here is whats gonna happen and some changes you will see...
  1. The name "STONED" will no longer be used as it is associated with pot-users. It will be changed to "MONDORT". Why? Thats my name in it and it means a lot to me.
  2. We will no longer use the heavy blue, black and white scheme. Instead, I will make use of a minimalist theme. A combination of white, black, and light gray. Banners and header names won't be as HUGE as before as I will have it adapt to a minimalist theme.
  3. Less words but direct opt-in message. Bigger and clearer fonts too.
  4. More keyword intensive salecopy but direct.

Yes based on wordtracker, keyword search, market research and test. I have two competitors, one is 50% more expensive than my prices. Clicks are actually high using Google search "custom leather bracelets" and checking my analytics, clicks are high. In fact, I closed an actual sale when I was just testing. I posted pictures in the site and actually delivered a real product

Anyway, to those who had advised me here, please check out the new reformatted and renamed website

I think the text is too much and the pictures not too good. Small and not really colorfull.
I think if you follow all those friends Warriors advices youŽll get better results.
Yet again patience is a must in this business.

1)Use bigger sized pictures.

2)Use better professional order.

3)Put opt-in form on left side of the homepage.

4)Use more content to get better conversions.

You could if possible get some sort of part on your site where people can begin to design their own custom leather bracelet using some sort of website tool.. and make them optin to use it :-)

I want a good keyword researcher, not for min sites but for tech articles. Hit me up if you've got those skillz!

It was one of the warriors who advised me on the other hand to put it on the right The small 6 pics on top are thumbnails to a larger pic. If you click them, they enlargen.

Just to show you how my site has evolved from the time I started here in WF and I got so much good advices, here are screenshots of my site. Oldest is on top...

When I first started out...

First major revision...

2nd major revision...

3rd major revision...

There were other revisions done which I was not able to take screenshots of it.

So finally, here is the 4th and present one...
Custom Leather Bracelets | Leather Wristbands | Custom Leather Cuffs for Promotional Items, Campaigns, and Fundraising Needs - Home

Hope this would rack up leads!

I have good traffic for such a niche. Its just time to get them to opt-in and inquire. These leather bracelets are not as hot as rubber bracelets, but there is a market with very small competition.
