subdomains for products?

I am careful with my money, and don't want to blow money on a bunch of domains. You could call me cheap

I know this is not ideal, but would it be an okay business plan to put up products on subdomains?

Personally I'd like to go with different product pages rather than subdomains. Search engine experts say subdomains need to be promoted like seperate domains.

One subdomain links are not copunted for another subdomain PR. Why bother?

Folders are an easier way to go. What I do is

      www yourdomain.com/recommends/product

With the product being a folder within the recommends folder.
