Is There A Market For Trends And The Keywords That Drive Them.

Hi All,

I am trying to wrap my brain around a concept and would appreciate any input. I have a software that can find future trends AND the keywords that drive them. This software works on Google Trends to get me those results. The Google Trends are real time; from one to twenty four hours old and normally are not available to the average online user.

I know I can monetize these results in the form of domain names. The domain names can be sold on Flippa or Bido.

My question is this; would anyone buy my trend keyword list here on WF? Is there a market for it in the WF Classified Ads section? These KWs are drilled down to the very lowest depths and return with a list of THOUSANDS of keywords for any trend.

Thanks for your time and attention,

Hi there - how do you know these 'trends' are not a fad, or in other words, whilst they might be popular now, in a week or months time the search volume may go down?

Trend keywords would probably be popular with those unclassy news type sites. But I imagine they are already good at finding these.

You may be better off marketing to biz op type people that are trying to get their ad in front of people. The use of hashtags on twitter and facebook would go hand in hand with trend keywords.

Good question. By looking at the graphs on Google Trends, I can clearly see what is a quick, short term spike in traffic, a fad, and what is a steady long term rise in traffic, a trend. Also, Google Trends has a forecast button that can reasonably predict activity based on prior data. This forecast button can easily determine the difference between a fad and a trend.

I saw they removed the forecast button recently - but you can still do a manual forecast by downloading the data.

hell yea, there is a market for it..

its a habit of mine to take freshly made terms from popular TV shows and see if the domains are taken on godaddy.

i live in Japan so the american tv shows i watch come to me a day later. 90% of the time they are already taken.

a good example of this is the new term 'memberberries' from the show south park

as you can imagine the domain has been taken

Trendjacking is a huge marketplace. It's always been a popular niche and targeting option for online marketers, but is becoming more and more popular.

I know several marketers who have built 7-figure companies with it and I plan to do a bit of this myself in 2017.

Why would you think it is not available to the average online user? Just like you found some trending words so can anyone else from the several sources that make it very easy.

I don't know why any Internet marketer would pay you for something they can easily find themselves unless you could save them a lot of time. It doesn't seem like you would have much success but you never know unless you test it out. Maybe I am missing something.
