4 Tips To Start A Successful Online Business In A Crowded Niche

Breaking a dominated market has never been an easy task, but there are some few things you can do as a smart person. below are the recommended steps to take to break the ice.
  1. 1.
Master just on thing in the market: If you master just one thing in a crowded market, it will give up big heads up in a very shot time as people will begin to know you with one thing. This is the first strategy i used before Starting my Tech blog few months ago and am currently making over $3500 every month just in that blog with the help of my email list.
  1. 2.
When your Authority in the market begins to come up, you can commence with the second market: What i mean here is simple. After some time, its expected you must have gotten some level of authority to, if you are running a website, and you want to enter a new Niche, i recommend you build a sub-domain on your root domain instead of starting a new domain entirely, that way, the root domain already got some authority and will definitely help your sub domain in ranking better
  1. 3.
Never underestimate the power of email list. start building your list from day one. I used few tricks to build my list from 30 to 1269 subscribers in just two weeks and the list converted like magic for me. Well, i don'' need to say much here because we all already know the power of email list to our various businesses. don wait until you start hitting 10 thousand pageviews a day.
LIST=1][*]4.[/LIST]Lastly, Build relationship with your current customers, reach out to them and find out if your product is helping them for the better, also connect with prospects and watch your business grow into a big and respected authority in a short while.

I agree. Focusing on one thing in the market is a must. You don't want to seem like a jack of all trades -- you want to be a master of one! Thank you for posting this.

Great advice, another reason someone like me has to master one thing is because if not I get torn between two projects which is not efficient sometimes.

Good tips here brother. I would add that if you're going into a crowded niche you must take a look at your competition and figure out how you can stand out from the crowd. I'm paraphrasing but a wise man once said, "You can either be the best or be different".

    Good tips here.

I would emphasize on number 1 mostly.

It's easy to get distracted by trying too many things at once.

The classical example is getting traffic: soon enough people have a Facebook page, a Twitter profile, Instagram, Snapchat, posting on forums, Reddit, Quora, Facebook groups, YouTube videos, infographics, guest posting...

    It's a never ending list.

By trying to do too much you're spreading yourself too thin: start with 1-2 methods and do them consistently for a month. Keep checking the data and let it speak for itself.

After a month you can drop whatever isn't working and choose something new as well as putting more effort in what is working.

Just because it worked for someone else doesn't mean it will work for you (and vice versa).

Stick with a few methods in the beginning and double down on what is working but looking at the data (in this case Google Analytics or any other tracking tool).

This applies to a lot of things: freelancer jobs, creating products, writing articles, paid acquisition, AB testing, etc etc.

    Cheers
    Dan

if im successful in the IM niche and i want to jump into the bridal niche then im NOT going to attach my new bridal site to my IM site..

i dont see how you think that would be a good idea.

This strategy is exactly what ABOUT.COM is using and its working pretty well for them. I have decided to use the same strategy into building different niches in one domain and its also working well for me.

    Hello,

I don't agree with point 1.2 because if the new niche is not at all related to the previous one, I don't see why I would link both of them together. They will have different readership. If you really want to use the first site to promote the new one, you can just add a link..

    Regards

    .
I can see where this could be beneficial but only if it is a Sub Niche closely related to the original Niche. Wouldn't make a lick of sense if they were two totally different Niches

I Agree with your advice. If you focus on one main thing instead of all. Then that thing will become your specialty and people will know you as specialist in one niche that you focus.

I assume it's Like Hitting The Bulls Eye (ie. In Archery).

Thank you for posting good advice!
