Lead Generation Tactics!

I have seen various marketers using random short domain names (like ifbsls.com, hbcdl.com, sdufds.com etc.) for generating Leads.

So basically what they do is they purchase such short domain names and then develop a website according to the offers they're promoting and then attracting traffic earning huge money. Real Huge Money.

So My Question is how such domain names can bring traffic?
Does such domain names can be ranked via SEO or SEM or any other marketing like SMM etc.?

Looking forward to have a word with Fellows!

Thanks for you time!

Their domain names have little or nothing to do with it at all. It is all in their marketing and traffic generation methods. Most probably PPC campaigns

They are most likely using paid traffic like agmccall mentioned. Could be PPC, solo ads, etc...

Having a short domain versus a long domain shouldn't help much in the way of generating SEO traffic.

If you are wanting to gain some SEO traffic, I like to include a keyword in my domain if possible. Of course, this doesn't carry the same weight with Google as it did many years ago - but it still helps.

they took an expired domain name and then they do GSA o build something like 90k backlinks...

so they "re-vive" the traffic, and have some decent flow of traffic.
