Cj affiliate and Amazon affiliate, which is best

Hi guys,

Now I need to make a decision, choose CJ affiliate or Amazon affiliate.
Both of them, which is best, I know Amazon’s cookie is entire website, CJ’ cookie is not entire.
With order increase, Amazon commission increase from 4% to 8%, but CJ comission is unchanging, about 8%.
Would you like to point out more differences between them.
I want to choose and sign up an affiliate program from both, and make money with paid traffic.
Tell me differences of both and who is best for paid traffic.

Any reply will be appreciated!

I can't sign up shareasale as there is not my country at their drop-down form field.

      Thank you!

I know Amazon is great, but I don't know if Amazon allow paid traffic.

Does Amazon allow paid traffic? My sites will use paid traffic.

Yes I also use paid traffic. As long as the traffic goes to your own site first and then people can click to Amazon.

        Same thing for email traffic.

Thank you for your reply, my decision is Amazon, or Amazon + CJ.

I have a quesion,Amazon doesn't allow using trademarks or logos (including any Amazon Mark).
          What is Amazon Mark?

          Is below links Amazon Mark?
          Go to Amazon.com!

Not sure but you don't have to use their logos or anything.

I just put on my pages something like. Go here to see the price on Amazon and link to it with my aff link.

            Keep it simple.

    Amazon affiliate. I think so.
I'm working with it and feel very good, the policies offered to members rather stable

CJ is affiliate network. This means there are many different companies and affiliate programs you need to choose from. With CJ you first need to find a good affiliate program, with good trustworthy products, and then promote. You will make money with CJ only if you find really good products and brands that people trust. The advantage of CJ is of course bigger commission and the opportunity to jump into selling some products that have no serious competition. This requires really deep research into affiliate offers there and understanding what works online and what doesn't.

With Amazon you get credibility and trust instantly. People trust Amazon and they are much more ready to buy there than anywhere else. You send people to Amazon and people buy. Of course, you need to have plan how to drive targeted traffic and find products to promote which will be profitable. If you intend to use paid traffic, you need to send that traffic to your site first and you need to pay attention to what products you're promoting. Amazon is great if done the right way!

Why not implement both? display price comparisons, buy at Amazon for $xx.xx, at store A for $xx.xx or store B for $xx.xx. You can set up and display price comparison charts.

You will often find many stores selling at prices lower than Amazon, plus their shipping terms may be more favorable. For example, you only have to spend $25 at Target to get free shipping, while Amazon has now bumped their free shipping up to $49 and a lot of items don't qualify to be included in that total.

That is good idea, but product price is change, can not be updated from time to time.

It will not be very easy, price comparison is very complex technology-wise because prices fluctuate all the time and there are hundreds of sellers selling the same things in varied price tags. Its quite complex. That's why we tend to rely on Amazon's (and others) recommendation engines.

What you're suggesting the OP can't do it dynamically.

There are plugins that pull the prices dynamically from the individual stores and keep them updated. It's actually against the Amazon TOS to display prices, but I place a notation under the chart stating that these were the published prices for the products as of whatever date. I then check and update the prices a couple of times a month.

I've been doing this on some (not all) of my affiliate sites for at least 5 years (could be longer), and so far Amazon hasn't had a problem with it.

I had a plugin developed in house that does just that. The time stamp is needed otherwise Amazon could close your account.

In my opinion, I think it’s important to look at both sites when you’re researching a potential niche. The truth is some niches are more profitable if you promote a physical good and others are great for providing information. And you never will really know this until you do your research.

First choose your niche and then find out which network has the right product. Amazon converts better and you even get sales from products which you actually didn't promote.

Yes especially when you start to send high volume clicks to Amazon.

Every month I get paid for sales on things like expensive cameras and appliances without having a site about them.

People buy lots of things on Amazon and you get credit for all of them. It's great

I have been researching a niche I want to get involved in. So from looking for products I found an online store for the products I want to promote. They are with CJ and they pay a straight 5% commission. The thing is, they also have all their produtcs listed on amazon. Why would I use CJ for this when I can get up to 8% from Amazon.

Most physical product vendors that have affiliate programs do not usually go much higher than 5 or 6%, there are exceptions though. Secondly sending someone to amazon you are sending them where they can buy much more than what is offered at Niche ecommerce site.

Amazon is the king of the upsell, meaning more commission money for you.

Almost anything you can buy from a specialzed retailer, with few exceptions, can be bought at amazon.

While most affiliates seem to focus on the % the ones that actually think about their bottom line are the ones that truly succeed. If you do not know of her, look into Erica Stone a.k.a. sojourn and her products on warrior plus

Correct! The Earnings per click you get from Amazon beats the pants off most other etailers. I have a site that promotes expensive Physical products from a site that's not Amazon and those epc's beat my Amazon ones so they are out there.

Amazon commission rates are very low compare to CJ. However you can promote Amazon products if you have a website related to technology like phones, Gadgets, tablets etc. Otherwise CJ works great.

Like all these "what is the best . . ." questions, the REAL answer is "it depends".

Some methods will make more money with CJ, some methods will make more money with Amazon.

Some Amazon methods still being sold today, will get your Amazon affiliate account closed (since you are now not allowed to quote any user-review or rating, or even summarize or generalize about those (unless you use their API)), as I know because it happened to me.

There are a LOT of different approaches to this, and different people with different personalities and experience will be more suited to some than others. And all of that will make a difference to which one is "best" . . . and all that could change the second after I write this, with changes to affiliate rules or Google algorithm or a whole bunch of other stuff.

So if you want an easy answer, read what others have said, but if you want the REAL answer, consider what I'm saying, and test things for yourself . . . pick the method that suits YOU best, and put both monetization methods on each page, see which makes more profit, then optimize for that and learn more, etc.

    Chris
