Hi,

I had written a book called 13 Diet Fallacies & Just Plain B.S. which is about 35 pages and part of a bigger book dealing with weight loss which is not done yet but around 85 pages.

Originally I was thinking of doing it as a Kindle book but I was thinking of doing something PLR with it.

I was thinking either do it as a PLR book or have each of the 13 chapters as a report.

Now my question is which would be better? PLR book or bundle the chapters as articles? These would range from 600 words and up.

If done as a PLR ebook what would be a good WSO price and how many do people sell. I realize you can't have a 1000 copies so what would be a good number.

If done as articles/reports what would be a good WSO price and how many copies do people sell?

These are original writings and each topic is sourced.

Thanks for your help.

John

What's wrong with selling both together as a single product offering?

    John,

I'm not sure that anyone can tell you what's best as we haven't researched the marketplace or seen the content and quality of your book. I think the best you can do in setting a price is to see what the competition is doing and go from there.

This is a huge and very competitive market so you must have top quality material and a title that is very attractive.

I'm not sure that it's wise to split your book at this point. People that are looking for diet books are looking for solutions to their weight problem. Do they really care about diet fallacies? I don't think so. They want the low down on how to drop pounds and I assume that is what your larger book is going to discuss.

PLR is not a panacea for quickly selling your writing. The most successful PLR sellers have established businesses and web sites with a lot of subscribers. They offer a wide range of products.

If this is your first and only PLR product, it may take awhile to get traction with it. Yes, you have to start somewhere . . . just go into this without the expectation of making a killing. If you don't have credibility yet or trust from your targeted prospects, it will be difficult to convince them to buy given all the many choices there are for this market.

    Good luck to you,

    Steve

    Well...

Only you know about your content. I won't go as far to set prices because only you know your perceived value of your product.

But, if I were you, I would extract a good chapter out of the 35 page ebook and give that away for free in exchange for a subscriber's email. Then sell the ebook (Kindle, your own site, that's up to you).

On your upsell (can't do that on kindle though, your own site), you can sell the 85 page weight loss ebook, maybe turn that into videos and audios and sell those too (maybe as another upsell or bonuses for the 85 page ebook).

I probably wouldn't sell it as PLR given that you are creating a lot of content because I would hate for it to flop on me (or rather, you). 1,000 copies isn't unrealistic, it just requires a lot of promotion and affiliates. But if you go down that route, you'd have to make a complete business-in-a-box type package (kinda like JR Lang or other high quality plr sellers) or something close or better than their perceived value.

I believe you can do it.

This type of PLR is not actually a dime-a-dozen, but it's not worth much more than that. If you run a WSO and sell for $5, I predict you will sell 3-5 copies. Two of those buyers will try to circumvent your funnel.

    Good luck with that.
