I admit, I am in some really small niches. These were not started (in 1992, I have been on the net before the wayback machine!), to make money.
I am not even afraid to tell you the niches:
Cuban music, culture and travel - I am a published author and have a house there.
Beer (specifically homebrewing) I teach beer at UNLV

So you can see these niches are my passion, so I won't stop them, but I am wondering if anyone else has ideas for making some money.

My lists average about 120 people, of course almost none of them buy anything.
I have several products on the Cuban website, on the Beer site, it is mainly ads.

I make a little money from adsense etc, and the occasional product sale, but I am hoping to get $100/week (well more is better too )

If anyone has suggestions, here are the sites.

    Suggestion:

Create a web site about the Miami music scene and try to get advertisers to sponsor it. Potential candidates are cruise lines, hotels, and resorts. Both Miami and NYC have large Cuban populations.

These are typically going to be your main stay. Also, you can go after clubs to promote new stars. Sounds like fun.

    Good post,

I can also add in my experience here.

I also have a small 10 page website in a very small niche, but it is great because I am first in Google for the search term which enables me to collect a nice amount of $$ each month off Adsense.

Like they say, sometimes "small business is big business"

I do not think your niche is that small. I think you can dominate it and be the authority, you will do very well.

I just looked at your sites and here are some comment
    - The first one in your link not listed in Alexa (This would make me think that marketing is your issue, even a little social bookmarking would get you list)
    - the second site - You have mode ads then content
    - Overall I think you need to add more content and do more marketing to drive traffic.

    How to market
    - articles
    - videos
    - social bookmarking
    - PR on local events that are happening

I hope that was not too harsh, but you did ask for a suggestion. Keep working at it and you will do well.
