    Hi Alex,

What kind of business are you looking to start?

Do you have any existing business plans?

    Do you have a product?

Or are you interested in internet marketing?

    Do let me know

    -Matt

        Hi Alex,

I was about to list what HarrieB just wrote.

He is right. Not everyone can earn from online affiliate marketing.

First off you need to understand that it is quite a tedious process, hence it would be ideal if you have the groundwork covered.

I'd suggest you join Facebookgroups where they might have mentoring systems in place. For example, Online Income Academy. https://www.facebook.com/onlineincom...SEARCH&fref=nf

You need to see what exactly U want to do in IM:

There are various methods to make money. Not everyone can earn from affiliate marketing nor everyone can through SEO. I don't think anyone will hold your hand here and tell u step by step about making money.
U need to tell us what exactly U can do and what u want to do or what u have been doing in IM so far. Then people will come in and help you.

That's a small question with a BIG answer. I'll try to simplify it enough for you to have a reasonably actionable plan.

    First.
You need to pick your area. Look at the market, find out what gaps are present and figure out how you can tailor a product to fit one or more of those gaps. This first stage of your business can be the difference between making it, and making it BIG. You could choose an area that is currently popular and to be honest you would probably do quite well for a while. But if you manage to anticipate well and chose an area that is the next big thing, then you will probably do quite well for the rest of your life.

    Second.
Use killer copy. You need to arouse the interest of the audience first. Then describe the problem that exists in the world today, after this you can describe how your brand new product or service will solve this problem and make life easier for everyone who buys your product or service. Back up your claims with testimonials or pseudo-scientific information. Make a solid and attractive offer to the customer, create a sense of urgency and finish with a call to action. Throughout the copy you need to create a rapport with your audience and gain their trust. Once you do this, and establish yourself as an authority on the subject, the sale is yours.

    Third.
You need to design a kick-ass website. You can do this easily and cheaply on any one of the quality website templates out there such as wordpress, weebly etc. When it comes to your website the, simpler the better. You have less than five seconds to grab a customers attention. No one wants to open a website only to struggle to decipher the scramble pictures, words, graphics and links. Make it pleasing on the eye and don't bombard the customer with information straight away. Most importantly - make your product easy to buy. The route that the customer has to take between initially landing on your website, to buying your product should be two clicks at the most.

    Fourth.
Use SEO - (Search Engine Optimization) to make sure that customers who are interested in your product, find your website through search engines. The ways in which to make this happen are too many and too complicated to list and explain here, but a quick google search of the term will help you get started.

After this there are a few things you can do to help your cause, such as establishing an expert reputation for yourself in the area in which you do business. You can do this by giving away free, expert content such as articles or video's and contributing to industry forums. If you lack the writing or video skills to put these together, there is a workd of skilled freelancers at your fingertips on such websites as freelancer.com.

You can also use these offers of free content to collect email addresses etc. Once you have these email addresses you can use email marketing to keep in touch with these potential customers and inform them about any new products and offers that you may have at any time.

So there's a few pointers for you. Unfortunately this is a subject that could take up entire semesters so the information I can give on a forum like this will be far from comprehensive. But hopefully I've given you enough stoke the fires within and get you going.

    Best of luck with it.

It would take a million words to answer your question and I won't bother because it's been asked ten thousand times over the past 20 years.

If you're not willing to research it for yourself, IM is not for you.

At this stage, it doesn't matter what you do. Just do ANYTHING, preferably without spending much money - you won't get it right the first time anyway, so just do whatever you think is right and see how it goes.

Then learn from your experience and do it better/different next time.
