Your Flippa Experience

If you have used Flippa since leaving the SitePoint location what has been your experience?

    From a buyers perspective I have had 2 experiences. One bad and one good. The bad one was a site I was bidding on and had stayed up most of the night to make sure I had the winning bid ($1200). The auction closed and $1200 was the winning bid. I didn't get the site. Seems there was another $1200 bid placed just after mine, both were accepted and flippa awarded the site to the second bidder. I was plenty pissed as I clearly had the earlier bid and their system should not have accepted the second bid. Their response was "Sorry. This is a problem that we are working on. Here's 20 points for your account". Big deal.

    The other auction went well, I was high bidder and had no issues paying for the 2 sites and getting everything transferred over to me.

    I haven't tried to sell anything over there as yet.

    Well, Flippa ain't Sitepoint .... Sitepoint was great. If all they wanted was to gouge us for higher fees, they should have just kept Sitepoint and done that. They destroyed the 'experience'. I used to spend ungodly amounts of time on Sitepoint monitoring for new sites to buy. That isn't happening anymore. I might check out the sites a couple times a week now.

    As for selling, my sites still sell there.

    I haven't sold or bought anything so i can't comment on that side of things.

    When trying to search through listings that have ended,(market research)i absolutely hate the faded colour of the listings. At least with sitepoint it was easy to read.
    I now have to select text as if i am copy pasting it,just to read it.
    so research that should take minutes is taking longer becuase i have to squint to read the text.
